PRESS RELEASE: Kona

Kona Gravity Team rider Miranda Miller introduces the all-new Process 134! Join Miranda on a Pacific Northwest Adventure aboard the first full-carbon Process bike.

They say good things come to those who wait. It's been a long time coming, but we're thrilled to finally present the Process 134. The Process 134 is derived from our favorite characteristics of the Process 111. We took six years of Process technology and research and built a powerhouse trail bike that is ready for any rider to tackle any terrain. The Process name has become synonymous with Kona, so we wanted to ensure the 134 fit everything we love about the current lineup but also brought something really fresh and fun to the mix. We've put just the perfect amount of travel, just the right geometry, and given riders a choice between six variations of frame material and wheel size to choose from. We truly believe this is a bike for everyone.

Process 134 CR/DL 29
The Process 134 CR DL 29 represents years of design iterations, mechanical engineering and real-world testing. Born from the beloved Process 111, it ticks all of the longer/lower/slacker boxes while still maintaining the classic Kona feel of really freaking fun. A carbon frame features a 140mm RockShox Pike Ultimate RC2 fork up front, a RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate rear shock and a SRAM X01 Eagle 12-speed drivetrain. With a build this sweet the 134 CR DL leaves nothing to be desired.

Process 134 CR 29
The Process 134 CR 29 is the shorter travel carbon 29er that you’ve been waiting for. This truly do-everything bike features 140mm of travel up front and 134mm in the rear, supplied by a Fox Performance 34 and Performance Elite DPX2 rear shock. A RockShox Reverb with 1x lever and super deep insertion depth makes this pony ready to rip out of the box!

Process 134 DL 29
All the bang for a little less buck the Process 134 DL 29 has the bells and whistles to make this bike sing. A RockShox Pike Select fork and highly tunable RockShox Deluxe Ultimate trunnion mounted shock keep the ride plush and playful, while a SRAM GX/NX Eagle drivetrain makes the climbs a breeze! Paired with our legendary Process geometry, the 134 DL 29 is perfect anytime anywhere!

Process 134 29
The Process 134 29 is a super versatile bike for a great price. We’ve put the money where it matters with this build to ensure every ride is as good as it gets. A SRAM SX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain makes quick work of climbs, while Fox Performance suspension front and rear smooth out all the bumps. All-new WTB ST i30 TCS rims are strong and light, which helps keep the big wheels turning quickly.

Process 134 DL 27.5
The Process 134 DL is the smaller-wheeled sibling to our Process 134 DL 29. Built around a Kona 6061 aluminum frame, it features the same high-end components, including RockShox’s all new Pike Select 140mm travel fork and Deluxe Ultimate rear shock. Our improved anti-squat and a SRAM GX/NX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain make climbing a breeze. The Process 134 DL is the perfect go-everywhere bike.

Process 134 27.5
We’ve built the Process 134 27.5 to be the go-to ride for people who prefer the 27.5-wheel size. Its affordable build puts the money where it matters most—in the suspension, brakes, and drivetrain. A 140mm RockShox Recon RL Motion Control Solo Air fork and Super Deluxe rear shock complement the leverage curve designed for shorter travel. A SRAM SX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain provides ample gearing for big climbs. Maxxis Minion DHF EXO TR tires are wrapped around WTB ST i30 rims, ensuring excellent traction on any trail.

At Kona, we're all about the freedom and empowerment of the bicycle. We have been since 1988. We still have the same founding owners. We're still populated by a staff of keen, active, impassioned cyclists. We're not big, nor are we that small. Just a dedicated group of cyclists making bicycles for people who love bikes-no matter if that love is new or long-established.
