dispite i've previously seen follow me for about 15 times, it was still 100 times more exciting to watch it again than watching life cycles for the first time... 3 of 4 friends fell asleep ... there are really good scenes (in terms of art, camera work, ...) but most of them are waaay too long and slow ... after seeing nearly identical shots from 4356 different angles in 4356 different speeds it gets really boring ... a commentator tells some stories about his first bike and his psychical relationship to it ... he speaks so damn slowly .. there was a point where i thought "daaamn man shuuuut uuup! i wannnaa sleeep! and dream of follow me !!"
if they'd cut all the unnessesary scenes and speed up all the unnessesary slowmotions, than the movie could be really cool .. but shorter than 10 minutes.
yeah it's a good art-movie ... good camera work, sick angles ... something like a documentary.. but poor in action and very very slow
it's totally different form what i expected ... was the time worth going to the cinema? i think so ... because they showed follow me in HD ..... watching life cycles once is quite okay, BUT -->
would i buy the dvd or br? NO .. because - as you all know - seeing something for the second time is allways more boring than watching it for the first time ... and in that case, i'd die of boringness.
the trailer is 100 times cooler than the complete movie sooo much potencial .. if they just made the movie faster and with more action
i was just expacting something totally different, because of the action shots in the trailer ... in my opinion seasons has the best mixture of all movies i've seen
^ I like how some guy created an account just to say it was boring. Twat.
Take a step back and realize you'll get your personal copy soon.
It's embarrassing to see you gripe about the $30 you've been charged, patience and grace.
I really enjoy the comment about Life Cycles investing the money at 15%...where do you find an investment at that rate of return? Brillants comment that one was!
"Life Cycles is meant to be about the riders, and the deep connections they have with the bike. But it is also about the art of filmmaking and capturing unique, attention-grabbing action sequences."
And finally if 'Syncro' could send me details of where I can invest my money at 15% for 3 months I'd be really grateful!
since we are now moving towards December...can any representatives from lifecycles please give us an indication if we will receive this move before Christmas 2010?
well over 3 months since I paid...
I'm confident this will be the best bike movie of the decade, so got no problem waiting a bit longer. Although Kidonbike does have a point about digital distro, didnt one the nwds have streaming for 10 bucks a go, cant be much harder to organise then dvd printing (originally i mean, not at this stage)
PS: I love the lies and hyperbole.

It's not the matter of the lateness that everyone is so upset about. It's that we've given almost no information as to the reason of the lateness at all. We've had a few vague statements about dvd quality and blu-ray menus, but even something like "our Blu-Ray producer is currently re-working the menus and we expect them to be done within x time, after which another x is needed to manufacture, then x again for us to organize and ship them out" rather than hearing, a month ago, that it would take "a little longer". The statement on the website hasn't changed since they first told us it wasn't coming right away. We just want to be informed. If we're in the know, we're ok with waiting a while.
PS: I love the lies and hyperbole."
your information is incorrect - my Visa CC statement shows PB charging me on 1st September 2010 - I had actually placed the pre order at the end of August - so yes I must be a wizard
I will say "nice work" to the film makers, I understand what it takes to accomplish a vision like that from start to finish, but honestly I would have liked to have seen more depth to the content for the amount of time that it took to produce. 4 years is a long time to film 30 minutes of beauty shots and 20 minutes of riding that seemingly ends nowhere.
I am now stoked to watch this film, and see what it is all about...especially seeing the Devinci factory in Quebec in all its high-def. glory
I am hoping I have my HD Blu-Ray movie soon, and it will be a well-attended "home" premiere
FYI, folks b!tching about it not showing in their locations: You, your club or your riding group should contact Life Cycles and host a premier. Nothing's stopping you. We did that and it was a great event.
Does this shipment notification include Blu-Ray, or have the BR discs not arrived in the producer's hands yet?
Mute that out and you've got a killer film.
I pre-ordered the blu-ray and there's still zero information on when I will receive it.
Did anyone who pre-ordered the DVD received it yet ?
I mean, I cant go to my bikestore without getting spoilered or made fun of but I am calm.
Give me my BD. Yaay!
Not stoked anymore.
