[Updated] How to Watch the 2019 Mountain Bike World Champs

Aug 29, 2019

Loic Bruni on pace and into 2nd

Red Bull TV has secured the rights to broadcast the MTB World Championships in Australia, Japan, France and the UK.

While Red Bull TV is the official broadcaster for the Mercedes-Benz UCI MTB World Cup, they aren't the only official global broadcaster for the World Championships. The UCI packages the DH and XC World Championships alongside all of the other cycling disciplines they own and so it's a separate agreement that needs to be made.

The World Championships is one of the most premium products that you can get the rights to broadcast, which makes sense considering it's the most prestigious event that you can win in the sport during a non-Olympic year.

In many instances, the broadcast licensing agreements allow Red Bull to broadcast the World Championship XC and DH races, and in many places, you will be able to watch the World Championships as you would during any World Cup race weekend. Globally, however, it's a bit of patchwork as some countries are not included. As of our publishing date, here’s the full list of countries where the World Championships will be broadcast on Red Bull TV*:

FF sake every year f**king sky tv in New Zealand. For the other 99% of the mtb season Sky don’t give a sh*t!
  • 15 0
jeez I've been watching all year no trouble, fucking sky ruins it like they do most things
  • 12 0
Sky's web player is so awful too. I usually prefer to watch the rugby on shitty illegal 360p streams than SkyGo because at least they fucking work. Wish they'd hurry up and go broke
  • 6 0
So stupid ???? I bet sky won’t even show it live it’ll just be some stupid highlights reel...
  • 32 0
 VPN guys, works a treat!!
  • 2 3
You can buy SKY GO ( f yrself) and stream to any device for $20 for 7 days. Don’t know about replays as womens xc starts at 4;15am and womens dh at 5am NZTime
  • 3 0
@gcrider: I tried last year but the short term package didn’t include the the sky sport channel five (?think it was five?). No one from Sky were helpful when I contacted them. Instead I paid for a VPN for a few days and worked fine. They seemed to have changed their packaged and ways to access this year but not interested
  • 2 0
If you have access, it's on Sky Sport 9 in NZ, live on Sunday and Monday morning (after the Vuelta), then full replays all Monday afternoon
  • 2 0
@tanadog: Replays are in the afternoon of each day, not all Monday afternoon. The replays are for that days events only, so replays on both Sunday and Monday.
  • 1 0
 You got that right!!!
  • 1 0
@OKdeeboy: Do you have a good one that streams OK? PM if you have to please
  • 6 0
 SKY are a bunch of Sh*t C*nts
  • 7 2
So Syria can watch red Bull between bombings but in the US 10 hours away we have to hack live streams , no problem.
  • 5 4
@jorgeposada: BUT BRO, BEST COUNTRY ON EARTH!
  • 2 2
 @scott-townes: yeah...there is that
  • 1 4
@scott-townes: Already have the stream, best country on earth indeed.
  • 1 3
@jorgeposada: how's let's make america great again working out for us........
  • 6 9
 @ameryan: working awesome for me,thanks!
(According to most metrics, its working great for most people but ,Trump-hate always is easier for people to admit. Wait till the socialists get it, you'll beg for this orange douchebag ,again.
  • 3 1
@ameryan: First you need to leave then we'll talk. I voted for Howard Stern byatch.
  • 1 0
@jorgeposada: what site are you watching it on?
  • 52 0
Boys, just use a VPN and you'll be ready to go
  • 12 0
I use Private Internet Access, its great for this. Used it a few weekends ago, to watch BMX worlds, which was blocked in USA.
  • 3 1
VPN brand PrivateInternetAccess has been great for quite a few yrs. Not free, but cheap enough. Biggest problem with "free" is bandwidth...you'll be buffering all the time if streaming. Speaking of speed...my browsing is faster thru vpn. No one needs to be hiding anything to want or use a vpn...you use it to defend yourself against targeted spam, propoganda and censorship.
Even something as simple as PB here.....your content is prioritized and presented to you differently based on which country you are in(or thinks you're in)
  • 5 5
@loopie: I had no problems watching porn in Dubai while the entire UAE was using similar or the same app to do whatever all day long.

I believe that I will watch the race this weekend
  • 1 0
@yakimonti: Thanks for this lead! I usually only scroll down comments when in the mood for humor, but learning useful stuff like this def. has me feeling the PB love! This is going to be big hit with the fam come World Cup Soccer or Olympics!
  • 39 0
Go to hell UCI, with the greatest compliments from me in South Africa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 Every year...
  • 30 0
And to think there was somebody complaining they couldn't watch Enduro races live.
  • 24 0
I'd like to take a moment to issue a big F-you to NBC sports. What a buch of jerkfaces, buying rights to the race and then charging $55 to watch. Seriously, WTF? You're now on the shit list of every american mountain biker. Way to ruin your brand image NBC Sports.
  • 10 7
not to mention we make up a good portion of the SX/MX market as well and they're already on thin ice from that coverage plan as it is.... they don't respect the sports so they don't care. They have the same plan as Trump did in 2016, appeal to the NASCAR people.
  • 4 1
 @Mattysville: re: 2016.....and it worked.
  • 1 0
Issue NBC a big VPN and watch every sports event there is, reddit has a ton of people posting links to open channels also for real big events.
  • 1 1
In case people haven't figured it out, the race isn't until Sunday. For the US, its on NBC sports' app.
  • 26 1
This is trash, I have Direct TV and still do not get the NBC channel thats broadcasting it, that specific NBC channel is part of a big sports package RIDICULOUS
  • 15 0
I have Sling TV and actually have NBC SN but they aren't even showing it until midnight on sunday..........because NASCAR
  • 11 0
@pcassingham: just like how they always treated moto - some reason they think nascar deserves more tv which is so embarressing to know sponsors would rather pay for that shit than moto or biking
  • 1 0
@pcassingham: So even if I have NBC, I still won't be able to see the race live?
  • 2 0
@pcassingham: I'm in the same boat with Sling TV. Same with moto, I go through the process of first being confused why the race is on so late to then being pissed when I realize they're rebroadcasting late because something else was apparently more important earlier in the day.
  • 7 1
 www.nbcsports.com/gold/cycling?utm_tags=goldcyc1161

I wish that they would sign on to cover the entire season, i'd absolutely pay a subscription to watch all the races. But id want more than 4 cameras on course
  • 8 1
Yeah, this is lame, it'll probably be Joe Buck and some other know-nothing sportsball jock giving commentary on DH biking instead of Rob and Claudio. ...or better yet, NBC producers will all be "We need x-treme sports personality to host this, call Todd Richards and Sal Masakela, the kids will love it." ...connect via a VPN and watch on Redbull TV, way better.
  • 4 4
 @chacou: What is a VPN?
  • 1 0
@chriskneeland: The schedule I saw for NBC SN showed qualifying for Darlington during the XC final and AVP Pro Beach Volleyball during the DH finals. I don't get just NBC though, so that could be different.
  • 1 0
@pcassingham: it will be online if i had to guess. Or available through the app
  • 11 0
@dynamatt: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_private_network This is a somewhat dense article, but the author provides an extremely simple VPN setup that should allow US residents to watch Redbull.tv coverage of the DH race instead of NBC, www.freecodecamp.org/news/how-to-set-up-a-vpn-in-5-minutes-for-free-and-why-you-urgently-need-one-d5cdba361907
  • 3 0
@dynamatt: Browsec, browsec.com, is good plugin by mainline browsers (Firefox, Chrome, ...), looks like a free account allows one to connect through servers in Germany which should allow viewing of Redbull.tv coverage
  • 2 0
@chacou: Ok, so once downloaded, you can just load the redbull page and it will think you're in whatever country/ it works?
  • 6 0
 @mtbmaniatv: With Browsec, yeah basically, just install the plugin to your browser, turn it on, it looks like it connects to servers in NL by default, then go to Redbull.tv and it should think you're visiting from an IP Address located in the Netherlands ...I'm not 100% certain how this will work with streaming video on Redbull.tv, as it does constrain the "pipe", so with a VPN connection you won't get as fast speeds as without one, and I'm not certain how Redbull.tv does their browser detection ...yup, looks like with it on Redbull their geolocation script returns: `{
"success": true,
"country": "nl",
"georegion": "155"
}` so it _should_ work Wink
  • 7 0
@dynamatt: Virtual Porn Network is my guess. If I can see the MTB racing then thats my next option for that time slot.
  • 3 0
 @chacou: awesome! thank you
  • 5 1
This is just another reason that I'm stoked to be in Spain for my honeymoon this week!

@endlessblockades: Thanks! She does enough to let me get a day of riding in at the Vallnord bike park!

@chacou: you forgot about Brad Jay. Uggh Brad Jay.
  • 1 1
this is pathetic. Redbull tv selling the rights for Mega$$$. UCI is failing its viewers!!!!
  • 1 0
@pwenger: You've got it twisted - Redbull is not the owner of the tv rights, they got sold out by UCI looking for moire $$$$
  • 2 0
@chacou: Watched the replay of today's men's XC with Browsec plug-in, Opera browser, Mac Pro. Free Browsec sign-up. Worked great.
  • 1 0
@chacou: many thanks. I'd all but given up and was about to go read the results, then i saw your post. worked first try with opera vpn, stoked
  • 19 1
Redbull has the live stream except in the nations that have someone who could win. Oh France you want to watch Loris and Amoury try to take the title from Loic? PAY ME. Americans wanna see Gwinn return and maybe finally WIN the stripes at a mountain he excels at? PAY ME. Hey Australia you know Troy Brosnan is due for a big win one of these days.... PAY ME. this is honestly just a money grab attempt that is sure to push more people away than it will attract by being marketed to non bike people who don't appreciate the sport.
  • 3 2
It's available in France, didn't you read the list?
  • 6 0
@billreilly: when i wrote this yesterday they had France in the unavailable list.
  • 20 0
Well, looks like I have a few days to figure out how to use a VPN or pay NBC $55 to watch.
  • 3 0
VPN brand PrivateInternetAccess has been great for quite a few yrs. Not free, but cheap enough. Biggest problem with "free" is bandwidth...you'll be buffering all the time if streaming.  To everyone complaining, just use a VPN. Install Epic Privacy Browser, and you're done. Enjoy your life streaming
  • 13 0
guess i picked a good year to make the trip and see it in person
  • 2 0
me too!! I have been looking everywhere to see if you need to buy tickets? I hoping I can just show and hike up the track to spectate.. never been to a world cup or world champs
  • 2 0
 @cdkozeluh: velirium.com/en/how-to-get-here

looks like just $25 CAD to park
  • 8 0
$55 to watch a single race? i'm not buying a roadie package from NBC just to watch one race.... Living in the northeast it would have been just as cheap to carpool with some friends and just go watch it live..... this is a shame. Going to be a lot of American fans disappointed in the UCI and Redbull. And they wait until 5 days before the race to announce this?
  • 8 0
I'll never understand why networks pay to show sports that a)they know nothing about b) show at times where no one will watch and c) any new viewers won't stick around since it's a one-off and the broadcast will be horrible.
  • 6 0
So USA folks, just looked and we don't even get the DH race on any NBC sports channels based on their current schedule. Maybe the DH will be on Redbull still since its not an Olympic event where XC is. The XC looks to also be on the Olympic Channel. Tip sign up for 7 day trial of Hulu with live channels and you get the Olympic channel.
  • 2 0
I just looked and YouTube tv has it on the Olympic Channel too. They probably have a trial period as well.
  • 2 0
@bismirle: Huh. On NBC's site, the DH is not on the schedule... I see XC on Saturday but no DH over the weekend.
  • 2 0
@dhx42: I don't see the downhill on the Olympic TV's schedule, but when I search in my Youtube Tv app it shows UCI Women's and Men's downhill on Sunday, and lets me set the dvr to record it. My only guess is they are not showing it live, so it isn't considered a 'live event' on their site... The women are on at 3pm mountain and the men are at 4pm. Who knows if that is actually what is going to get recorded.
  • 1 0
@bismirle: Ok. That makes more sense
  • 3 2
You can and must watch it on redbull.tv website by installing a simple VPN in you browser that makes your computer appear to be part of a domain that's located in any of the non-blocked countries.

I will be driving during some of the races and will be watching the redbull.tv app on my iphone w/VPN and bluetoothing the audio to my car and just occasionally looking at my screen which sits on the dash covering up my speedometer whenever Claudio squeals about "carrying guuud speed" or Warner says "Bart, are we seeing an attack?!!!"
  • 1 0
@bismirle: Thanks I see it on the TV schedule hopefully I can record it on Hulu
  • 1 0
@endlessblockades: Don't hold you breath for Claudio as it seems he is not going to be there.
  • 1 0
 @mfoga: That's right - no big deal!
  • 4 0
So when you click on the link for the BBC, to see how you can watch it in the UK, it takes you to a BBC web page that only shows a schedule for last year, or the previous two years. FFS, how crap is that.

Anyone know the times you can watch it on the BBC then ?
  • 2 0
most likely they haven't set the broadcast times yet but if it's the same as years gone by it'll be on fed button or the iolayer/sport app. IIRC last year they just re-streamed RBs coverage so perhaps look there for coverage times
  • 12 5
Will the e-bike race be broadcasted anywhere?
  • 44 6
 Let’s hope not eh
  • 2 1
Only on the motor sports channels
  • 7 1
Hang on , the BBC are covering this for the UK, that's a good thing!
  • 14 1
Only if you have a tv licence!
  • 35 0
Would you rather have Rob Warner commentating or some Alan Partridge, rent-a-mouth?
  • 6 0
@TommyNunchuck: last year they broadcast the red bull coverage so it was Rob and Claudio on the BBC red button service
  • 2 0
and only if they carry the redbull feed, otherwise we’ll get some know nothing muppets presenting it. Plus what about a replay if you cant catch it live? Hoping my vpn should solve the issue.
  • 2 0
@rudymedea: little known fact, they don’t actually own very many radar vans. They even admitted as such.. “it’s cheaper if the people just think we can detect them”.. (paraphrase)
  • 20 0
@TommyNunchuck: I vote for the actual Alan Partridge. “His brake rotors are hotter than the sun!”
  • 6 0
@tobiusmaximum: JURRASIC PARK! But seriously though.... seriously... In the past the BBC have had Nigel Page and Andrew Neethling commentating the DH. They’ve been great, super knowledgeable, enhanced the action.
  • 4 0
@TommyNunchuck: my god I would love to hear AP do it.
  • 4 0
 @Radley-Shreddington:
“Do you know what this bathroom says to me? Aqua. Which is French for water. It’s like being inside an enormous Fox’s Glacier Mint. Which, again, to me is a bonus.”
  • 3 1
@tobiusmaximum: I don't think TV license investigators go near 'radar vans' anymore, that's something used in the very distant past / just a myth, especially when you consider many don't use an aerial to receive tv anyway anymore, so a radar van would be pretty useless.

Nowdays they just send a letter to a house without a license, its then upto you if you get one or reply stating you don't need one because you don't watch TV, then if they arrive on your doorstep its your responsibility to prove you don't have a TV that is capable of receiving live television or tell them to do one and they may take you to court.

I hardly watch live TV (like once a month) but cant be arsed with the trouble and cant help but feel the license days are numbered, young people don't give a shite about live TV.
  • 3 2
@justanotherusername: actually, a whole bunch of people have taken them to court and won.. the BBC have been caught numerous times breaking the neutrality rules that govern their existence, but obviously they don’t want anyone to know about that.
  • 2 0
@tobiusmaximum: I didn't say anything about the court outcome, just that its your responsibility to prove your TV usage and that they may take you to court if you decide not to have one and they think you are watching live TV.

It does irk me that I don't use the service I pay for but personally don't want the hassle, weak option I know and agree its a mega odd situation with the TV license in the UK.
  • 2 0
so - it says it is available on the red bull app on SKY Q
  • 1 0
@scotlanddownhill: what the hell is -Sky Q?
  • 9 1
Toby Parodi the British DH commentator is on this year. As for the bbc TAX! I haven't had one since I left home. no need as my flat doesn't even have an ariel.. SOO much great online content nowerdays the fear mongering bbc can go fuck itself instaed of the little kiddies
  • 1 0
@TommyNunchuck: Well he did pretty well with theTour De France:

BBC has been virtually the only mainstream media in UK publicising MTB DH over the past 3 years. Athertons and Tahnee, for obvious reasons. Excellent job.
  • 1 0
@sewer-rat: I could see buck Rogers having a dump on that
  • 2 0
 @sewer-rat: don't laugh you've broken your neck!
  • 2 0
 @nojzilla: Amen Brother
  • 5 0
@TommyNunchuck: Knowing me alan partridge, knowing you, Claudio Callouri.......ahaaaaa
  • 5 0
 Hey nonny no!

Redbull TV - complete race coverage complete with indepth pre-race programming and almost instant online replays; knowledgeable, well practiced, well respected, and crazy commentary team, aimed squarely at those who regularly enjoy the sport.

BBC - Live feed of the top 3 women and top 5 men shown once then lost in to the depths of iplayer in a ski sunday fashion, indepth pre-race program interviewing british riders who won't be racing to explain to their expected audience what the hell will be going on, and someone like Gabby Logan or John Inverdale presenting.

The BBC do so many things well, Blackadder, Topgear and 30+ years of David Attenborough being their best achievements. They should leave mountainbike racing alone for someone else to deal with. Properly.
  • 1 0
@TommyNunchuck: a dh race like rob!!!!
  • 2 0
@TommyNunchuck: Hope @themop is correct. The BBC stream from Fort William was appalling. The guy clearly knew nothing about the sport so turned it into some nationalistic BS battle between 'brits' and the rest of the world.
  • 1 1
@nojzilla: How much did Murdoch pay you to type that?
  • 1 0
 @Steventux: ain't that c*nt dead yet?
  • 3 0
Honestly F NBC they buy the rights to half the sports I want to watch then do such a terrible job that I just go find another sport to watch. I will watch after the embargo and just know what happens before watching.
  • 1 0
Sky TV ruining everything since ages ago!!!!! I watched the last leg on Redbull no worries but now it's geo restricted. Die Sky Die the horrible slow death that you have been facing for the last 10 years and doing nothing about.
  • 3 0
Ill be at Snowshoe riding all day so hopefully after we are done riding I can use a VPN in our rental house and watch the replay
  • 3 4
Lol. No you won’t. Check their website. They are closed from the 2nd to the 13th. We just called and canceled our trip. Really pissed about it
  • 3 0
@freeridejerk888: we are going this weekend 30th-1st
  • 5 0
@freeridejerk888: Snowshoe is open Labor Day. This is an unfortunate bit of bad marketing on Snowshoe’s part. After Labor Day they’ve always went to fall hours- Both sides open Friday through Sunday. This year with the World Cup they have to shutdown for the weekend of the World Cup. So it appears there closed much longer. It’s not explained.

If you have a trail bike you should definitely still come. Enjoy the off the map free ride trails or go and Shuttle Tea Creek after watching the WC.
  • 3 0
HEY! Me too. Let me know if you get it figured out and I will bring the beer and festivities over.
  • 2 3
It’s a massive fail. No one in their right mind would close an entire Mountian for one trail At least leave 1 side open. Either way f*ck snowshoe we’re spending our money and time on better places anyway.
  • 7 1
@freeridejerk888: Dude relax, they are going to have DH on the western side and XC on the basin side, there is no way to have the park still running and it not be a massive fail. Its not like its a local club race its a freakin world cup there is alot going on. Snowshoe is great they have awesome staff and are very organized, dont be mad that you didnt check the website ahead of time to see the one weekend out of the whole season that they are closed its been on the website forever.
  • 2 2
No it wasn’t posted last week. A lot of people are upset by this. They don’t close other World Cup venues. Why this and why not have this posted everywhere for the last 9 months? @Aem221:
  • 1 0
@freeridejerk888: Im not sure where I saw it but I have known about it for quite some time, maybe I looked at the event calender directly and saw it. The world cup course sort of weaves down the mountain on the western side using numerous existing trails and some newly built stuff its not just one line down the mountain like some venues. They have one lift per side of the mountain if you had racers/course marshalls, spectators and bike riders sharing the lifts it would be ridiculous.

Just come up and watch the race! Will probably be a while until we get the chance to do so again.
  • 2 0
@freeridejerk888: The XC race is on the basin side so that has to be shut down for at least part of the time too. With the entire mountain being sold out, the lifts are going to be packed even without riders smashing laps. It's probably a good thing that the bike park is closed.
  • 3 0
It’s on for 2 hours on NBC Sports.. I have it but 2 hours Sunday night from 10pm to midnight.. I’m sure DH will get 10 minutes.. ????????‍♂️
  • 3 0
What happened with South America!! Chile, Uruguay, Argentina, Colombia, Paraguay, Bolivia , Ecuador and Venezuela are not in the list!!!

Does anybody know who has the English licensing for Canada ? I know it says Canada is available, but it seems only with the Polish, and German commentators. I checked the upcoming events and there was no (en) abbreviation next to the events. Just tried watching the XCO womans race and once Rob was done with the opening comments it switched to German commentators.

Guess I'll just have to watch the replay if it's available.
  • 2 0
Aaaaaand I suddenly stopped caring about World Champs. Bummer. I'll catch the replays. It's always weird when World Champs aren't the last race of the season for the elite riders anyway. COUNTRY ROOOOOADS TAKE ME HOOOOME
  • 1 0
You must be kidding me!!?? I’ve got to pay $54? To watch one race?? The rest of NBC cycling pass is road racing which I have no desire to watch. So yeah $54. WTF? Not gonna be Warner/Claudio in the booth either with NBC I’d imagine. Probably some clueless commentator. This is why I no longer watch MLB and I was an avid fan. Comcast bought all the rights to broadcast the games in Philly. Meaning you’ve got to have a premium cable subscription just to watch baseball. Asport I grew up watching on local channels. USA is hyper- capitalism run amok. Looks like this sport is going the same way. WTF? I’m flabbergasted. $54!!!!!!!
  • 3 0
Australians. I've had a look at the SBS program and can't see it. Is it really on there?
  • 1 0
Just had a look and can’t see it on any of the sbs channels as well
  • 1 0
Yep same, can't see it anywhere...
  • 1 0
The MTBA facebook page says to stream it via Redbull TV, maybe it is available for us to stream in OZ?
  • 8 0
 Wtf we gonna do cobbas?

My Red bull TV app says that it will be on from 2am on Sept 1. And I received an email from MTB Australia saying it will be available on RB TV
  • 2 0
 @90police: Phew . . . I can breathe again.
  • 1 0
@90police: It could be like the BMX worlds, due to UCI we couldn't stream it live for the Elites (but could for everyone else) however it was streamed on Kayo. maybe keep an eye out for that too
  • 4 0
Ha shit, L'Equipe coverage is crappy; they don't know anything about mtb
  • 1 0
And they just buy the redbull coverage usually if I'm correct. Why can't we'll have access to a redbull.tv show!? C'est naze !
  • 1 1
@Clem-mk: Because both UCI and RedbullTV suck, without mentionning L`Equipe.fr that oversucks. Monde de merde!!!
  • 1 0
@Clem-mk: VPN ou le navigateur Opéra qui en intègre un d'origine
  • 3 0
Updated to reflect a positive change for you guys in France. Sounds like you'll be able to watch on Red Bull TV as well.
  • 3 0
Anyone know what BBC channel and when it's on, can't find it in the listing on iPlayer?
  • 2 0
It likely won't be listed online until it starts broadcasting. Go through the TV guide looking at the red button channels and it should be there.
  • 2 0
It will be shown via iplayer/red button or the bbc sports app. replay will be available via the iplayer.
  • 4 1
The highlights will be on bbc alba along with full coverage of the nettle eating championships
  • 3 0
Yay! I love getting screwed by the UCI. It's the one thing I can count on in life.
  • 1 0
Pretty sure I watched it on Red Bull last year and I was in UK at the time even though the BBC seemed to have it according to link above. Probably be aired on both as they are using the same stream.
  • 1 0
Will redbull be able to stream the race on their site in the USA eventually? I'm out of town this weekend and won't be able to watch it live anyway. Earliest I can watch is Monday.
  • 2 0
@mikelevy what the hell, the whole allure of the props system was that you had to guess how many props outweighed the negs-- it was all about the equilibrium
  • 3 0
Who the f*ck screwed us up in Argentina???
  • 3 0
Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador y Bolivia no están. Lo pasará DirecTV?
  • 2 0
Increible! si no hay ninguno de los canal de deportes del cable que lo vaya a pasar.... quien le compra los derechos a red bull??????
  • 1 0
@matiasmere: y bueno, habrá que salir a andar en bici, mejor programa, jaja
  • 3 0
 No South Africa? That sucks!
  • 2 0

  • 1 0
 @headshot: Yep. f*cking Multichoice.

Someone explain how to VPN, I want to throw a bash at my house and have it on the big screen.
  • 1 0
@SimonD: How about installing a VPN on your laptop and plugging it into your big screen with an HDMI cable? Onscreen > Select Input > HDMI1, 2, 3 ETC.

The party must go on....
  • 2 0
argh . will have to use the VPN at work then. Israel and Ireland works so I'm sure everyone can find some proxies for there.

seems like if you have DirecTV in the USA then its on the Olympic Channel #624
  • 1 0
thanks for the info! I found it on my guide and set the DVR....lets see what happens.
  • 2 0
OK, so the real question is how do I fool my computer to think I am somewhere else so I can watch it?
  • 3 0
Use opera brower, has a free built in easy to use vpn, works perfectly
  • 2 0
Only three things are certain in life-- Death, Taxes, and getting screwed by the UCI.
  • 1 0
Attention fellow Americans: for those that have NBCSN in their cable lineup, it appears that the NBC Sports app will be streaming the XC and DH events live.
  • 1 0
I have NBCSN in my DirecTV lineup. tried it on my fire tv. after logging in with my DirecTV credentials my phone said I could watch all OlympicTV/NBCSN/ETc content. but app won't let me. says my package doesn't include it
  • 1 0
@Cerps: had the same trouble with my Roku. Could watch it on my phone but not the TV even though I was logged in with the same credentials. Stupid greedy cable companies. I'd pay the $55 if that's what we needed to do for the season, but when NBC comes in for one race it's ridiculous.
  • 1 0
Im in vegas, an thanks to someones comment... i found the MENS race on NBCsports on DIRECTt.v at 10p.m tonight! Its gonna be a long day
  • 2 0
It says on my redbull app that gets getting broadcast
  • 4 1
 No italy, fuck the UCI.
  • 2 0
Hopefully RAI didn't get the rights, those idiots would be capable of broadcasting the race in november
  • 2 0

  • 1 0
F*ck. I'm on vacation in Italy now Frown
  • 1 0
I suppose, it will then be shown by other TV stations in the US and France?
  • 2 0
 Any decent proxy/VPN suggestions... ffs
  • 2 0
Try www.vyprvpn.com I've not used it for unlocking geo-blocked content, but it lets you select servers from around the world. Hope it helps...
  • 3 0
 Wait, what?
  • 1 1
TL: DR. Go out for a ride instead.
  • 3 1
Best coverage is trackside Big Grin
  • 2 0
So who is gonna stream DH live for me on FB so I can watch..
  • 1 0
Our cable provider sucks where I live so we ditched them for streaming services, then this...
  • 3 0
 Antartica?
  • 2 0
 Piñera CTM !! Lo dará Rock&Pop ?
  • 1 0
Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador y Bolivia no están. Lo pasará DirecTV?
  • 1 0
  • 1 0
It's actually showing up on Red Bull TV in NZ. Maybe something has changed?
  • 1 0
Has anyone actually found what time and channel this will be on in Australia?
  • 1 0
SBS didn't take up the rights so Redbull TV will be showing it. Win for us!
  • 1 0
What a disgrace. Good thing I'm doing a 50 mile race on Sunday and wouldn't be able to watch anyway.
  • 1 0
What time will DH elite mens be for us ENGLISH ppl?
I guess it will be Tommorrow for us?
  • 2 0
I love how Afghanistan can watch it but us in NZ can't. Good stuff
  • 1 0
So to watch in the USA you need to buy a $55 cycling pass?
  • 1 0
MFckrs! trying PureVPN now from my Fire TV
  • 2 0
 More moneysss.
  • 1 0
@ sewer-rat, its a good thing if you can figure out when we can watch it.
  • 1 0
What about the replay on Redbull? Does that get locked out as well?
  • 1 0
 I’m prior years yes
  • 6 0
@rrsport: for 1 week. Good if your planning to go in a coma for a week to avoid pinkbike
  • 1 0
Is there a replay on Red Bull tv?
  • 1 0
Good question! Just wait without open internet then watch the replay everywhere you are. Better than watching with poor commentary imo
  • 1 0
Lesotho and Swaziland but not South Africa? Frown
  • 2 0
An excuse for a Lesotho AfriSki weekend. Just sayin'

 and italy?
  • 1 0
  • 1 0
in italy usa Epic Privacy Browser. Quando ti connetti è come se lo facessi da fuori italia (lo puoi scegliere dal menu in alto a destra) e quindi ti lascia vedere la gara su Redbull TV
  • 1 0
 Why init?!
  • 1 1
Something interesting on SBS for once ????
  • 5 0
But do we then have Rob Warner or some dude who normally commentates Cricket?
  • 2 0
@kusanagi72: cricket guy for sure!! Let’s hope some one puts some gin in his tonic water haha
  • 2 0
I couldn't find it in the TV guide on SBS' website. The only cycling coverage for this weekend is for the Vuelta a España.
  • 1 0
@Obi-None: Yeah, I can't see it there either. I feel a panic attack coming on.
  • 2 0
@BecomingNoise: Don't tell me it's only on FOX...
  • 1 0
 @Obi-None: see @90police comment above.
  • 1 0
Seems like DH is live on Foxtel. Can't see a listing for the XC live, but there appears to be something later in week which could be a replay. Anyway, Redbull website makes it look like you can stream it there.
  • 1 0
SBS didn't take up the rights so Redbull TV will be showing it. Win for us!
  • 1 0
