Dear pinkbike, Rachel's POV needs its own page. The crowed are incredible it's like hecklers rock the whole way down. The men just don't get this on track. It's only at the end when they enter the caldron. I just can't comprehend what it must be like to be pinning it with the preverbile lighthouse fog horns going off Right in ear hole! The riding is off the chart to she is absolutely pinning it.
Absolute, brilliant and incredible scenes at the fort this year. A lot of them, not all, are in this POV video please give its due.
Thanks!
Really a brilliant video! I'd be so amped to have that kind of a crowd following me down the track, especially one as long and challenging as Fort William.
Rachel's POV is brilliant and I agree that it needs its own page. But please, whoever puts the camera on the helmet, next time tilt the camera a bit more horizontally so that we see a bit further ahead. I was constantly lifting my head trying to see what was coming.
@katsooba: I'm sorry that you feel that way, but I find the opposite to be true. The session is much lighter in weight and doesn't bob around as much, and the weight doesn't force my helmet forward or backwards. The video quality is great. The loss in quality is due to compression of the data to reduce file size after it being uploaded on the net to increase download speeds.
@abzillah: i agree with you about the weight and ease of use, even battery time.
but once i download the clips from my session, and my 3+ BLACK for comparison
the difference is VERY noticeable only when you have the videos uncompressed side by side on your computer you see the big difference in video quality. that is why i use my 3+ black for sport car events and the session 4 for biking and general use
i am not arguing, the session 4 is a very nice everyday camera, but after you get spoiled by the 3+ black quality there is no looking back
Such an amazing sport to be a fan of. So many wonderful people supporting each other. We're a Syndicate house, but I was rooting for Gee as well. You could tell he was on form and super hungry. That crash broke my heart. Hopefully he's all right. Right before he went down I was thinking how cool it was to see a Gee vs Greg battle at Fort Bill.
Probably the best DH event I've seen so far. Good show, boys. Way to send it for Stevie.
It was due to it being at the end of a long track and the last in a set of about 5 jumps. I haven't ridden it but I've heard it has a tendency to kick you forward so tyred riders on a tricky jump basically
@CHawk68462: Yeah you are right.. By increasing the angular velocity of the wheel you create a similar but opposite impulsion on the frame that can help you nose up. But the motorcycle has a heavier wheel and the motor can create a much higher couple than a bike. I might be wrong, but I doubt you can level up you bike with a ~ 1kg wheel and just your muscle power.
@bridgermurray: @bridgermurray: greg minor came down in 4:35. rachel down in 5:11 think he was giving props to the girls as they're on track for at least 40 seconds longer than the boys.
@ad15: Based on that logic a slower XC racer would be giving it all for longer than someone in front of him. The women are just slower racers, doesn't mean they have it harder than anyone else.
this run could have been more glorious with a better quality
i own the 3+ black and the 4 session, and i started to leave the session at home.

Did he get a prosthetic leg in the off season or something ?
