Yes, he's really dominating the U21. Hopefully the rest of the field keeps improving to make it more competitive for him in that category.

Third race of a so called World Series and still no functioning 'overall' times. It really is a joke (on top of the joke that following a race by staring at a timetable is). Thankfully Isabeau and Jesse or so quick we at least know they're leading after stage 3.
  • 2 2
... and they still *are after stage 4 (Jesse by less than 2s).
  • 3 0
 @ullsen: Go on Jesse!!!
  • 1 0
@inside-plus: Yeah! Jesse starts at 4:16pm CET and stage 5 will be over 10min... some time for more beer, chips or whatever.
  • 17 1
Richie wins stage 5 and the race ... takes it from Jesse... that's Rude.
  • 25 19
 @ullsen: that's so dope
  • 4 2
@bashhard: crazy, right? Happy for Richie though, he will be all "smiles" ;-)

Enduro World Sell. It's acheived It's objective of creating a series to sell a 'new'marketable category of bike. Race series brings validation- pros winning races makes punters want to buy those bikes. End result its a mickey mouse series noone really cares about. The only surprise is they bothered to ban cheats, I mean why bother
  • 15 0
@pen9-wy: you're not completely wrong, but Enduro bikes are quite cool. The series could be better. The coverage is shit. I'm glad there's guys like Jesse and Jack constantly uploading so you can watch more than just highlights with two guys commenting on it.
  • 8 1
@pen9-wy: I just ordered a Pivot Firebird because Eddie is tearing it up on one!
  • 19 2
I’m done. Can’t watch it online, can’t check stages results now, why we should bother on race day? I’m gonna see results on monday next time. Thanks EWS

 yep and Kolb smashed it

Actually it was European Downhill Championship!! It's a shame really, not even a word about it.

To all the people complaining about the UCI, there's a good perspective of a race that isn't held under the UCI arm. Lack of interest from pro racers and media, and lack of real publicity from the organizers.

Came to see how Matthew Fairbrother was doing...had to go to the official site - 24th. Keep up the great work!!
  • 1 2
 How'd he go?
  • 8 1
I watched this as if I were an EWS fan—watched vlogs and recaps on YouTube. I stayed away from PB today until I’d watched the official recap from the EWS.

Do this to DH and it dies. This delivery system sucks!

Vloggers had the best stuff.
Pro stage drone was great, far superior to racing drone sketchiness.
Watching results is not watching an event. Please don’t do this to DH!

Maybe Pinkbike can do a feature on Ines Thoma, i believe she is a privateer this season and coming from a long break from racing.
  • 5 0
Super happy for Lukasik. Dude finally has a pro team behind him and keeps proving he deserves it. Masters on the podium is awesome to see. Only 5 seconds between Rude and Melamed after all 5 stages Eek
  • 6 0
Hope Sam is still just racing conservatively, I'd live to see him back up on top?
  • 12 0
I would too. However it's a EWS not a local race, pretty sure he'd be pinning it. Age, a pandemic, fatherhood, new generation of rippers coming in all taking their toll IMO.
  • 1 0
@heatproofgenie: he was just so dominant the last few years....

But the new rippers aren't the guys at the top, it's the guys sam used to beat, Rude, Melamed, Mae's, Masters, etc....
  • 4 0
@RadBartTaylor: Maybe it's just that at the upper end of the competitive age range if you take an extended time off it's much harder to get back to the sharp end then it is in your twenties?
  • 4 0
@heatproofgenie: yeah, I'm sure your right....pointy end of the stick is always hard to keep sharp...

This one is a wild shot, but Sam was known to like bikes with very balanced front/rear centers, which was the case for the Mega in the past with long chainstays and moderate reaches.

The latest generation of the Mega kind of does away with that by adopting a more mainstream geometry. Could this be a factor?

Yes Jess Stone and Innes Graham representing The Valley! Amazing (but not surprising) to see these names at the thick end of the action.

 And Poly Henderson

Cheering for Jesse and Sławek, but I like that there is a Frenchman Rudeau and an American Rude.
  • 4 0
I like how Nathan Secondi was in second place a couple if times.
  • 4 0
just 5 sec difference after 34 min of racing is just insane!

In previous rounds, somebody posted in the comments a link to a more detailled live timming page.
I can't find it anymore. Do you know it ?
  • 1 0
@mitochris: Not this one, there was another link, with more details and live evolution...

 Is Slawomir out?
  • 14 0
holy shit, hope not! I'm at the edge of my toilet seat here!
  • 4 0
It sounds like his timing didn't update after stage three but he did complete the stage. We should have an update when he gets to the next stage.
  • 3 0
@edspratt: thanks man, I almost slipped off of it.

Some of y'all need to go volunteer at a local enduro where cell service is spotty and then see if you complain about live timing anymore.
  • 4 0
Slight misunderstanding here. Living timing worked alright this round. It's just how "overall" times/stats are presented on the ews homepage (hard to explain, you have to see it). It's frustrating as it appears to be such a minor programming issue that they somehow can't solve (or don't bother).
  • 4 0
Hopefully they are not relying on cell communication.
  • 2 0
@Fill-Freakin: for live timing, the finish modules for the stages absolutely work based on cell signal. That does not mean they rely on the sell signal to get overall results at the end of the day. Once they go return the timing chips, the timing chips keep the data for every stage regardless of cell signal. But if there's no cell, They can't broadcast the live time.

 @ullsen: Fair enough

Still didn't work for me,last years worked flawlessly.

7th to 10th in Mens seperated by 4 seconds after 35 mins of racing and 11th, 12th & 13th on the same second. Bloody hell

It is very picky on the browsers. It does work but only on one of several computer / browser combinations I've tried. Try another browser, try another computer.

 In Poland and it's working.

Working in Poland. But Lukasik seems to be missing from the latest stage results. Hopefully nothing too serious
  • 2 0
@pisgahgnar: he completed stage 3 & 4 but somehow his times are not there

Ted Pastors, international man of mystery! Also 4 kiwis in the top 10 again. Yeah good!

Why the results of U21 categories never come up or come up with delay although they race before the elite? I don't get it!
  • 2 0
Flo from Pinkbike Academy in 15th…Congrats
  • 1 0
Whats the meaning of that (+1) etc, on some results? Some kind of penalty?
  • 4 0
It's to show the change in the overall standings after the stage. +1 means they moved up a place.
  • 2 1
I guess it means they moved up one place in the overall after that stage.
  • 2 1
Jesse just put 7 second into Richie on stage 2! Rocketing into the lead!
  • 2 0
Eyeballing the stage times I think that means he's ~4 seconds up on Richie going in to stage 4. Give 'er Jesse!
  • 2 0
@dolface: now only around 1.5s before the last stage
  • 1 0
And Richie had a big lay down on stage 2. Still got 3rd on the stage
