 an industry going crazy.... first superstiff everything up... then add some primitive non-ergonomic quad suspension bars, squirmy plus tires, super wide slow rims, and add an electric motor as well since new ppl riding mtb nowdays are hopeless professionals. btw there is another company making those... for few years... i think they are out of business.

 @makripper: You can get excellent moto tires for cheaper than mtb tires. And honestly, the flex bars really do dramatically reduce arm pump on a dirt bike. If these perform as well as the moto counterparts, they're a god send.

 Flexible handlebars or very high volume tires (plus, etc.) are not the anwser. A properly dialed and regularly serviced quality suspension fork is what will "handle the rough stuff" for you.

 @thustlewhumber: Not really, my fork is practically brand new and even with the high sag percentage (literally 35%) and 0 clicks of damping the fork still has vibrations, that's the point of these and oneup bars, then i can set my suspension stiffer and still have less arm pump, my arms are dead at the bottom of the silverstar dh course, which if you don't know, is 2-3 minutes long (2 being pro and 3 being general racers)

 Fasstco is a very well run company who took 5 years to develop these bars.Their Flexx Moto bars are the "must have" item for all us old Moto guys. Game changers even for highly tuned and perfect suspenion bikes. I have no doubt these will be very well received particlularly for ENduro Racers and those that ride really rough and rocky terrain. Groomed flow trail and weekend trail riders probably not.
The pivot and small amount of travel is virtually imperceptible when slamming across big chunky stuff. But you will notice the relief in arm pump, shoulder pain and hand numbness. I will be getting set.

 Good to know these are already being used for moto, they'll definitely work. The main point of these bars is that when you whack them they won't vibrate like a tuning fork at a frequency that's harmful to your body causing fatigue, like aluminum bars do and why Spank added the Vibrocore to theirs. But almost no one on here's going to understand that...

 I didn't know that. Looked them up, watched a couple of their Youtube videos that had remarkably civil comments. Do moto guys like this because their tires and suspension don't really damp trail chatter because of a dirt bike's speed and weight? Does that logic translate to bicycles?

 You cannot cannot tell me that the amount of vibration feedback reduction on a dirt bike application will automatically and effectively translate itself to the mtb industry. I'd imagine these make a difference in that moto...because there is a motor that rattles the frame. Decoupling that makes sense. But in mtb...???

 So we take one of the three direct inputs to bike control (bars, saddle, pedals) and introduce a moving variable to it? Please tell me how this is a good idea, rather than improving your suspension and using less overkill bars?

 Saw one of these last month at Angel Fire on a guy's enduro bike. He loved it. Said eliminated hand numbness and arm pump for him. He said it's NOTHING like the Girvin flexstem of the past. I did not get to try it.

 I typically try and avoid commenting on anything, but this is strange to me. I've owned several pairs of Flexx bars on various dirt bikes and never paid more than $350 for any of them. The moto versions are comprised of more material including two cross bars pivot bolts elastomer and a bar pad. But are less than these. The bars do work very well without a doubt. This seems like a window into an industry based on 1000% mark up to me. Guess my love of bikes has become a vice. Sigh....

 Market forces. Sales volume. Amortization, etc. Any mtb part is at least this much more expensive than a moto part in general.

Manufacturing cost: Steel<Al<<Carbon.

A gallon of gas weighs about 6 lbs, and a stock dirt bike tank holds about 2.5 gallons. Most riders won't notice the difference as the weight drops over the course of a ride, but try putting 10 lbs on your mountain bike top tube and not noticing. That's why mountain bike parts seem relatively expensive.

 A lot of closed minded folks/comments here. These things are the gold standard in off road moto for guys with hand/wrist/elbow issues or just old guys in general. I know folks who can't ride without them on moto.

 I've been riding these bars since 2017 and raced several Enduro events on them. I can honestly say they're worth the $$. Honestly don't mind the extra weight hanging over front tire either, seems to only improve front wheel traction on my bikes, but the biggest thing is a plusher ride for sure!! All I can say is don't go hating something until you've tried it and this product is worth a demo.

 Shock absorption is a job done best by your tires and suspension. This seems to be a solution to a problem that shouldn't exist on a bike that is setup correctly.

 I am old and intend to ride myself into the ground. If I could start over with a few mods, I would include something like this. For now I'm using Spank Vibrocore bars on my bikes and capsaicin on me.

 Hi, did you notice any relief from the vibrocore? Asking as I get numb hands after about 5miles on a trail ride an have tried about every grip, thick thin hard soft, with no difference. Running Renthals at the mo

 @nojzilla: I definitely did. Not gonna lie, I thought they were a little snake oily. But they got rid of all my claw grip. I also moved to a larger/softer grip which helps a ton.

 @nojzilla: I just installed the sq-labs 12* backsweep handlebars and it made a massive difference to my hand numbness. It took about 3-4 rides to get used to the back sweep but now it feels normal fir the most part and I have relief. Worth taking a look at, I’ve now ordered a saddle and grips from them after being so happy with the bars.

 @nojzilla: motorcycle circuit racers add weighted bar ends to reduce vibration. Not seen this in MTB yet but worth a shot. Heavy things vibrate at lower frequency.

 @nojzilla: i run vibrocore bars and deathgrips,you dont notice your not getting armpump/hand cramps until you get it, and you think" f*ck ive not had it in ages". Ive had it once in 18months after a brutal day at revo.

 @nojzilla: It seems more of a fitment issue, like your seat is too high, or your brakes are rotated one way too much. If you haven't already tried it, drop your seat a few inches to help remove pressure from your hands. from my own experience.

 @MattyBoyR6: seat is perfect, I've recently put the stem up 10mm. Believe me when I say I've tried every bar height, tilt etc etc.
I have read the Renthal bar is very stiff from other riders with similar issue.

 To be honest, I don't understand this style of product lunch. Especially by a controversy product like this one, it nearly screams fail with this kind of presentation. Nearly everybody looks at the price and already has a bad prejudice about it. Why not lunch it with a product test and a behind the scene story. By this you can explain your idea and make sure everybody understands it or at least has seen the advantages of your product. Also, it might be a good idea to announce a price spectrum, rather a predetermined price. So, you can make slight adjustment to that.

 Why doesn't someone come up with something useful like a suspension beer koozie that mounts to the handlebar and keeps the beer floating so no it does not shake it up. Then, mid ride...a perfect non shaken beer. Now I will buy that.

 Plenty of haters....but hear me out. I'm 42, I've been mountain biking for 30 years, I don't like smooth bitch trails, I like the real deal. My hands have been killing me for years.

Now that there is another attempt to damp out shock to your hands, I'm certainly going to try it! If my hands die on me 3/4 of the way down instead of 1/2 way down, its a win.

 This coulda been really nice to have back in 2014 when fox forks did indeed leave my hands numb as well. Fortunately suspension is incredible now and this product is moot. But I do question the people who thoughtlessly follow the 35mm bar trend... there's a reason Enve makes their bars 31.8. For some reason that common sense hasn't managed to trickle down to the common peoples' carbon bars.

 so thats why my chromag bars on my dh bike are 35mm and take the edge off better than any other bar ive tried? 35mm actually does make a difference and as long as their laid up right the comfort is there..

 @slipnjloc: I have Chromag 35mm on my enduro bike.....they are awesome and I don't suffer from numbness at all now...I also have broken my wrists heaps of times skating....and still they work well

 Part of the issue with products like these is lack of good comparison reviews. Whisky makes a really noodley carbon bar, titanium bars have long been said to reduce vibration, Spank Vibrocore, we've got those Revolution Suspension Grips, and now this. There appears to plenty of ways to reduce vibration, but currently it's up to the consumer to both test and waste money on products that may or may not work.

 The people who market these products are useless! Should have used the cash they spent on this press release and pinkbike's fee and just paid Sam Hill or Aaron Gwinn to put them on their bikes. stop me if I'm wrong, but...
If they rotated the pivot plane to be closer to paralell (which I realize would mess with reach/sweep), the perception of fork harshness would be WAAAAAY easier to percieve (because it would balance x-vector relative to our horizontal travel relative to the ground.

If you are going to spend your money, buy a good fork, my personal bias towards the 19 fox with the grip 2 damper (its surprisingly goodr).

If that's not enough I would invest in @revgrips long before these. I currently do not own or use rev grips.

 I quite like these much simpler forms of minimal suspension that look back to the pre-suspension era in the late 80's and early 90's. I don't remember anyone trying this approach. I do have a '92 Alsop Softride Powercurve with their flex stem. Its awesome for gravel and XC. I also have an RS suspension post and a freshly serviced Post Moderne suspension post I swap between my classic hard tails sometimes. I don't see the point of this for bikes with suspension forks but I like it as a retro upgrade on classic restification builds.

 Does anyone remember Crowbars from the 90's? Not the Bontrager ones, there was a Crowbars brand suspension handlebars. Pretty much this product but probably way worse.

 Interesting as they also make footpegs for Moto and Adv bikes that isolate (elastomer) vibes passed through the frame into your feet. Very popular particularly with Adv riders.

 That's the first thing I thought. For the price of this you can put an Avalanche damper in your fork and have all the same benefits without having funny handlebars.

 I think this is a poor comment, but agree $500 is too much. The truth is sometimes you need to sacrifice compliance and comfort for performance. Ever feel how stiff a pro's suspension is? These aren't motocross bikes where the bikes already weigh around 200lbs, suspension has a lot of room and large circuits and prices can be up to $8,000 for pro suspension.

Our suspension is cheap compared to so many other sports and incredibly light. They are talking about 1/5 of a pound in the article like its a big deal! LOL!

From a healthcare professional's perspective, I think this could really help with longevity of joints, especially if you ride a lot. Think about the force those elastomers may displace from your joints.

I am pretty young (a little less than 30 years old) and don't feel much even when riding downhill (Whistler A-Line braking bumps and cases on Crabapple hits included), if any pain now riding, but I know wear and tear on the body happens. Just because you don't feel it the premature wear on your body, doesn't mean it's not happening.

I think these bars are an innovative idea. I wonder if it influences handling characteristics negatively though (hard cornering/getting hung up a little in a gnarly rock garden, etc).

The price just seems really inaccessible though for a lot of people. I know R&D, marketing costs, lack of large quantity of demand/production are involved, but I have a real hard time justifying $500.

Rad idea and cool execution, but that price will stop me.
