Those frame protectors are the ED HARDY of the Bike scene

I remember in Melbourne, Australia, Ed Hardy had a bowling alley in Melbourne Central. There was a massive flag/sign outside that said Ed Hardy Rockstar Bolwing. It was up for ages. I had to double take so many times to make sure that it was actually spelt incorrectly.

Are you saying that they are for all the doosh-bags who ride ?

The April 1st posts just won't stop...

The carbon on carbon Santa Cruz with the 'graffiti' frame wrap... Frown Hurts to look at.

Oh, I thought it looks good. You can already get their bikes in a plain color so one could consider it a blank canvas for anything. And considering what Rob Roskopp has done to skateboards, shirts etc it is only fair to give their bikes a similar treatment.

@vinay: we know a big % of people like to dress like a power ranger in Mtb and motocross too

I wonder if any of this designs makes the bike actually look better. hard to tell.

maybe you could start a frame wrap graffiti battle, cross out wack frame wraps, call out toys, etc

 No thanks, Bro

Graphics aside, I can't bring myself to buy something called a "DYEDBRO," especially if it actually says "DYEDBRO" on it. I can't imagine having to explain what a "DYEDBRO" is to the random person that might ask about it. WTF is a "DYEDBRO?"

Agreed, would probably consider buying it if their logo was a lot more subtle.

So I figured that if I'm going to talk shit I might as well at least try to figure out what it means. According to their website it comes from #doyouevendriftbro, which is still baffling to me but I'm old and also dumb. I think the product is kind of cool, especially if you could order it with custom art, like StumpHumper45 said. But the name is so offputting I'd never want it anywhere near my bike or person

@Upundu: oh, so it’s a tongue-in-cheek commentary on the bro culture of our sport that has somehow been subsumed into being an actual part of the bro culture of our sport? And I can advertise for them on my bike for only like $50 while simultaneously achieving individually just like everyone else? Thanks for helping me work through how I really feel!

@VtVolk: I too express my individuality with mass produced corporate products

I specifically passed on their designs because of the obnoxious, terrible name everywhere. I can't think of any other product that repulses me as much with the name alone. Even with the explanation, it's just... awful.

I’d love to put my 5 year old child’s art on my bike in the form of frame protection.

Frame Keeper sells a kids kit designed for then to color on

Wait a year for your $7k bike and then put that on it?

Irrespective of the disgns, their kit is thicker and stronger than invisiframe. It's not as contoured or precise, but for outright protection, I prefer it. They do kits without designs too, I've got them on 2 bikes and they're very very good

This is part of April Fools, right?

These designs are low brow. B grade would be a compliment but since you are in business to be successful ill be honest this is a great idea with aweful patterns very few people will love these designs enough to purchase. Most people who will wont buy them because theyre kids in high school and their parents wont want to waste the money on making the bikes they bought them for thousands of dollars to look tacky or ghetto depending on which attrocious design they want. Really im a professional artist if you are serious about doing this successfully then message me id be happy to see your product become the eye candy that it could be but sadly you arent even close with this selection of bad graffiti

Do you have a in instagram page or something for your artwork?

I love these patterns but, to each his own.

They should make specific kits to cover up orange fox forks. Now that would be doing good work. Like a bad tattoo coverup.
  • 2 0
I’m gonna pass. I much prefer a subtle look to my bike (and choice of riding kit).
  • 4 2
I think they look pretty sweet- like tattoos for your rig.

They should make a , “China Joe” one. Or, “Lets go Brandon”. Definitely can’t put his face with the word “Merica” in the same protectorWink .
