I'm happy I went 160mm (merida e160 900e) for my purchase. Good compromise between agility and plow factor.
Ebikes - Way more fun on the ups - great feeling on the downs.

Even the Sabbath, which is virtually identical, went up 200 bucks.
As for the rest of the lineup, some upgrades are more subtle but have an impact. Our XT DC is now GX specs with XO1 shifter, better casing tires (EXO+) and more. Also, there is the fact that the different parts found on the bike have also gone up in price and although we do our best to negotiate the best prices for our customers, there is the inevitable inflation we have to deal with.

Not saying they used this logic. Only that it’s an appealing feature to me because of my experience.

It's as if all the e bike manufacturers are all thinking "The last thing any mountain biker would want to do is shuttle themselves on black diamond downhill trails that require a double crown fork so let's keep making short travel e bikes for riding lame trails."
Just throw a dual crown on whatever bike you want..I've done it several times-2019 Transition Patrol Carbon with an MRP Bartlett set to 180mm-was great..I'm buying a 2020 Commencal Meta Power SX and will be installing a dual crown.
Why would you only want 180mm of travel on a DH bike when pedaling efficiency isn't as important? I'm waiting for the days when e bikes have 220mm of travel, 63° head angle, low BB, 150 mm cranks, and lighter weight. Gear boxes should be standard on all e bikes, if you think about it it's pretty ridiculous to put a 200 gram rear derailleur on moped.
I said that I set my dual crown at 180mm on my 160mm Patrol...And I'm 100% with ya on 220mm travel, 63 degree HTA and steep 77+ degree STA!, gearboxes, etc!
