Press Release: Austrian Gravity SeriesThe auner Austrian Gravity Series was one of the few downhill cups who - despite an ongoing pandemic - made racing possible. The turnout of riders was incredible.
Keeping the drive going for 2021, the aAGS re-structured over Winter and is going with a fresh organization, unified approaches and two completely new tracks to downhill racing into the new season:
- aAGS
#1 - May 29th - Bikepark Königsberg
- aAGS
#2 - July 11th - Bikepark Semmering
- aAGS
#3 - July 25th - Bikepark Lienz
- aAGS
#4 - August 23rd - Bike Republic Sölden
Tracks will, as always, make for thrilling racing, but are without any super-dangerous obstacles and therefore suitable for riders even as young as 11. The aAGS will be pioneering things at the Bikepark Lienz and Bike Republic Sölden, as those events will be the very first downhill races in those locations ever.
Feel-Good-Racing-PackageThe auner Austrian Gravity Series is aiming to keep the entrance barrier into downhill racing as low as possible. What the cup is delivering is a feel-good-racing-package. If you are at the start of an aAGS race, you don't need to worry about horrifying drops, over-strict regulations or a super-tight schedule. The atmosphere is laid-back and all races are doable in one day - pretty practical if you are a family father or mother. Titel sponsor auner is providing prizes for the top 3 of each category and there will be free photos to download for all participants after the event.
Austrian Downhill ChampsThe very first event of the season will be a special one: auner Austrian Gravity Series
#1 and the Austrian downhill championships are taking place the same weekend at Bikepark Königsberg. Saturday is for racing for aAGS points, Sunday will be the big hunt for that red-white-red-sleeve on the same track.
Registration for the auner Austrian Gravity Series 2021 will open by the end of February.
