This is a multiple discipline world title holder who recently threepeated on the ews stage. Check yourself.

@parkisatool: just a few good years...from like 2002 to 2021, we're talking about one of the best mountain bikers ever. Maybe he just had an off week?

lmao look at them fanbois. Hold your horses. 2002-2021 in DH? Multi discipline? Sure, two, and they are both about the same thing, riding a bike down a hill. but one of them has less fierce competition and is mostly made of racers that couldn't quite win in DH. It's family time for Sam, sad but true. He's done.
  • 29 0
Someone better call up Mr. Hill and tell him to hang up those flat pedals @parkisatool says he's done, it must be true!

Jack wins on a bike with according to many, stone age geometry. What does that tell us?
  • 54 1
I think it tells us Jack is a freakin great rider and the geo likely doesn't matter much to pros provided its relatively modern.
  • 13 0
 He's bloody fast
  • 12 2
That elite riders can ride anything well?
  • 7 0
 youtu.be/Lymyl1E4Ld0
It seems that old geometry works well with the European EWS venues
  • 5 2
Oh and he doesn't have an angle set on it, but he does have a 10mm longer fork and 15mm of spacers between the fork and the frame.
  • 2 21
flag pisgahgnar FL (Jun 26, 2021 at 7:28) (Below Threshold)
@boozed: 10mm extra large on the fork is probably half a degree. Spacers don't do anything for head angle but do increase the stack height which benefits steeper tracks.
  • 5 1
and on a frame way too small for his size
  • 19 2
Pinkbike I need to delete my stupid comment but you don't let us. I read spacers under the stem, not under the headtube like what was meant. Dumb.
  • 17 2
@jurcadan: Jack needs to be tested. I think he’s reach doping because there’s no way he has enough reach to win an Enduro.
  • 4 0
@TEAM-ROBOT: he can ride a shark so i think that canyon is no problem

It tells us people worry way too much about their bike and not about how to ride it. "you have a nice new bike, now what?"

@TannerValhouli: he had rough tracks before. And others on flats are having good results, like Alex Rudeau

@Afterschoolsports: I dont know. For someone whom is 35 this year, allowing next year can race masters to get somewhere around 30:42 for 4 stages, compared to the very competent Karin Amour at 33:00 flat - got many more years of justified representative and very competitive racing at Global level if he wants. If you look at this stats - impressive really considering age.

@pingntodd: on the YT recap show sam himself said he was struggling on this track on the flats. Said he was having a hard time keeping his flow and couldn't keep up on the pedally sections.
