The season kicks off in the infamous, “always sunny” Dry Hill in Port Angeles, Washington. Repeating last year’s challenge, the first NW Cup will pair with the Pro Gravity Race Tour. Top riders from around the nation will flee to the PNW to join the NW Cup family reunion and intense racing for Round 1, April 5th-7th.

The snow finally cleared from what was our most significant winter season in recent memory. We finally plowed the road with just 2 1/2 weeks to go before the race, and then the trail work began. We shot these as soon as we could so there has been a ton of work done since then, courtesy of the Olympic Dirt Society's crew of dirt masters.

Thank you Matt Orlando, Kasper Dean and Transition Bikes for doing the duty of taking first runs of the season.

Pro GRT: "How far can we make these kids drive every week?"

Is there any better venue ideas for this time of year? (Serious question)

There are only 4 rounds so I don't get where you're coming from with the "every week" comment. Plenty of time between rounds to prep for and make the travel work...

@mtbmaniatv: oh, I’d love to make the highlight reel this year. That’d be a bonus for sure!

Planning a trip to the area. Are these tracks open to the public outside of race days?

Always. There is a gate though, so no shuttles, got to earn them.
