This video allows us to show that ebikes, or more precisely pedal assisted bikes, are fun and pretty entertaining for all!
No matter where you are on your ebike there's fun to be had, on the climbs, out of turns or even in between downhill runs! We've been perfecting our own ebike for several years now. A number of prototypes have come and gone and we have tested many motors together with different types of batteries. The processes have been endless. We couldn’t launch an ebike without a reliable and efficient electric system and there was no rush. We wanted to get it right!
We did not want to design the Meta Power around the motor. We wanted it to be a Meta with a motor! From geometry to components, nothing has been overlooked. There are no compromises. With regards to the battery, we decided to use a “semi-integrated” system. The stock Shimano battery is simply positioned on the frame to lower the centre of gravity.
The icing on the cake appeared when we were comparing the downhill times between the Meta and the Meta Power (unassisted by the motor).
Surprisingly, the times were very close. That day we knew that we'd reached our goal!
Those who have tried it have all come back asking one question,

MENTIONS: @COMMENCALbicycles
You could argue he should ride a normal MTB and get fitter and stronger. But if an E-Bike makes him want to ride, then they clearly have their place.
I don't know to be fair. Never ridden with them or ridden an E-Bike so can't judge. All I know is he said the other dude rides more now so that's a good thing to me.
Cheers mate.
Now assume for 1 minute that video was just a promo for a Meta, and everyone would be commenting about the riding and how good it all looked, but unfortunately, there is a motor on the bike, so 98% of pinkbike readers will just bitch, whine and moan that's it's not a real mountain bike, has no place in the world, is ugly, should be on e-pinkbike.com, should burn in hell etc. Reality is the bike shreds with the right person on it, and that video was f*cking awesome.
Well done Commencal.
