PRESS RELEASE: Commencal BicyclesWhen necessary, it knows how to be the good guy. Beautiful, charismatic, endearing, approachable, sociable, daring, dynamic, faithful, committed, sensitive and robust. But deep down, this one is wild at heart. Aggressive, arrogant, impulsive, manipulative, resentful and stubborn.
The CLASH is the bike for those who want everything!
We’re not going to deny that it has a little air of the FURIOUS about it and we believe that is definitely not a bad thing!
Like its big brother, it has 27.5 wheels and its niche is VERSATILITY! Why simply ride enduro? You can get so much more out of the CLASH, from a pedal with the kids through to full-on freeride...
Faithful to its rider, it adapts to the situation, whatever the terrain. A simple and effective bike, capable of anything!
A modern bike that has all the latest standards:- Metric shock 230*65
- Boost
- 27.5’’ wheels
- 2.6 maximum tyre size
The CLASH utilises a concentric rear triangle pivot at the wheel axis. Connecting the seat stay and chain stay, the pivot uses big high-quality bearings (stiff, smooth and water resistant) from Enduro Bearings.
All this for what?
This positioning separates the brake forces and suspension function, which allows better control, shortens braking distances and reduces rider fatigue.
The position of the main pivot point has changed from previous models and is now lower and further back in comparison. It’s designed specifically for more responsive pedalling and more aggressive braking. Acceleration and deceleration phases are more efficient and kickback during suspension travel is minimised for more comfort and shock absorption.
The kinematics have been reworked to accept air and coil shocks, both FOX and RockShox models. The frame incorporates 165mm of travel and is designed to accommodate a 170 -180mm fork.
Afterall, more is less and less is more...
As with all of our frames, we’ve paid special attention to the deformation points. In other words, we’ve strengthened these areas. We’d class the CLASH as a forgiving but precise bike.
The CLASH is the successor of the META SX.How much more does one need?

MENTIONS: @COMMENCALbicycles
How not to edit your video 101 by Commencal .
You can get away with profane/vulgar music if it fits the overall vibe attached to the cinemetography and editing. See any recent S&M Bikes edit produced by Charlie Crumlish for example. In this case the song delivery is a complete mismatch to the video aesthetic and slo-mo editing. It just further highlights the undesirable aspects of the song and it was a poor choice for a video used in a marketing capacity.
Did the marketers at Commencal actually check the lyrics on this song, and say, "Perfect!"?

its like the Vanilla Coke advert ... Reward Curiosity (maybe not reward...)

The clash. Urban music clashing with outdoor/not urban recreation.
Why don’t we talk about the bike and how awesome it looks? Or even how shit it looks if you’re insane/ blind/ both.
PS: if any american, canadian, british mtb brand wants a french song that absolutely doesn`t match to their videos: call me, I could help you ;-)
For instance: the man who invented french hip-hop in the 60`s: www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJksApHi9bU
So actually, most Americans are actually more diverse than not.
Most of this type of music is American.
Get a f*ckin' grip. There's obscene shit happening all over the world every day, and "f*ck" isn't it.
If your knickers are that knotted maybe a Specialized Sworks is more your speed.
Pretty easy to compare (just using Hightower LT / SB5.5): www.santacruzbicycles.com/en-US/hightower-lt v www.yeticycles.com/bikes/sb55
$8,199 for the top end SB5.5 (XX1) and $9,299 for the Hightower LT (XX1) - assuming the difference in cost is due to the SC brand carbon rims. Otherwise it's similarish, to my eyes.
NEG ME HARDER!
Very blurry lines but I think one lives on a lift and one doesn't tbh!
Less SRAM/RockShox and more Shimano/Fox would be better.
Does it ride like a trek slash or a devinci?
Silly egos, I'd say. Schwalbe and Syntace also both realized they were working on the same thing (Procore) and then actually cooperated.

Dave weagle had sued Giant for DW link infringment and pushed khs out of the range. Think giant held him up in court until he gave up. I believe DW and delta joint are still well within patent time range.
I want to see it handle some gnar.
Their lineup is pretty fleshed out right now, and they always seem to push the gnarly side of riding. They're basically only missing an XC bike, and I doubt they'll go there.
Neither was ideal. 150/130mm TR was too little & the 170/160mm was a little too much. They both climbed welll enough but one was done with its travel when I least expected & the other was too similar to my DH bike to be playful.
They need something similar to a Devinci Troy or Kona Process 153 for the masses. Perfect middle ground for me.
this is fun, commencal goes back a ways now. dont know much about their support, but shit
im too light to brake a frame, (famous last words)
I'll take the blue one in Med please. \m/
Furious - for freeride
Supreme SX - for super-enduro/freeride
Meta AM - enduro/race-enduro (if there's such a thing...)
Clash - kinda crowdy already here, it's between the supreme sx and the meta. Can't really tell who's gonna buy it. Too many different bikes for too close types of riding in Commencal's catalog (of course, in my opinion).
or
In that case, stays are way too long
Hey, this uses a dank susp platform.. Turco get it??!
Yes and Freeride is alive.
