The Maxxis Slopestyle Open is the only major open slopestyle event in the western hemisphere. As the only major competition where athletes can climb into the Diamond Series in North or South America, the Maxxis Slopestyle has a long history of being the place where freestyle mountain bike legends are born. In 2013, Nikoli Rogatkin participated in his first ever slopestyle event at CFF and in 2008 Brandon Semenuk won his first ever Gold in any freeride event.

Call me a cvnt but Storch's run seemed like a lotta spins & little else. Flip drop cool. Still just a flip. Meh. I'd have to re-watch to know for sure how I really feel. Just didn't do much for me first time around. 3s are great, but not that great.
MM was awesome to see. Something different than the same 5 fvcking tricks (no hands, bars, flips, whips & 3s) in different combos that EVERYONE else does. Too bad about Rogue, at least he had a super seater inside a run of straight up bangers. Bet he was expecting an easy win.
