I love how Genon kills it with his best friends on homemade jumps. No expensive trips to the best spots in the world just to practice. Yet he still keeps up with semenuk and the big names, even at rampage.
I find Genon so quiet and understated that you sometimes forget what an insanely talented rider he is. I remember his Joyride win - he was relatively unknown but has consistently proven since that it was definitely not a fluke. Even on the big bike he's up there with the best.
Relevant story - I met Genon a few days before his crankworx debut when he was practicing at the air dome, had no idea who he was but he was the nicest dude ever, insanely polite started chill convos with my buddies and I and generally seemed to be stoked about everything. Probably have more respect for him than most riders purely on the basis of that, dude keeps it real 100%, deserves everything coming to him.
I only had time to watch the first 10 minutes of the video, but I really appreciate the flow and style that these guys are riding with. Personally, seeing a smooth as silk x-up to a bar spin gets me way more excited versus yet another back flip. It's the style filled nuanced tricks that I prefer, and these guys were racking them up with spades.
