Spring has arrived in the valley of the town of Sainte Marie aux Mines (North East of France) where took place last week-end the 2nd round of the Cannondale Enduro Tour powered by SRAM. Surrounded by green and lush forest, the 400 riders have ridden one of the best edition of the series with new stages and a perfect grip! The riding conditions were perfect!
The top riders kill the time!
For his first times of a Cannondale Enduro Tour powered by SRAM race, the most famous Belgian rider Martin Maes (GT) has smashed the times by passing under 20 minutes for 5 stages! Nicolas Lau (Trails patrol) has again did a good race by ending 24 seconds behind the winner. The local Lucas Bruder signs his first podium of the series (+43')! The team manager and previous DH rider Pierre-Charles Georges (Commencal) takes the 4th spot in front of Batista Levy who finised 4th (+1:01').
The German Veronika Bruechle who won the 2017 series has gained lots of points on this round (she also finished 76th overall) and climbed to the 1st spot this time! Morgane Jonnier (Peugeot) takes the 2nd position and the young Océane Husson (team Radon) the 3rd.
A new Ebike course
For the first times, the organisation has planned a special "meal" for the ebike cargetory. Coached and followed by Jérôme Clementz, they rode one more uphill stage to do during the course! Even with this technical feature, the semi-retired DH rider Maxime Remi, has still won the race in this category!
The next generation is coming
The kids were also spoiled this weekend! They got the chance to have their own race by riding half of the adult's race course! It's absolutely fantastic to see how the kids have been proud to race the track! They like it!
The relaxed and friendly atmosphere is always the goal of a Cannondale Enduro Tour journey! The only challenge is just to beat your friends.
Everyone can be part of the famous CET raffle, and finally, it's a young rider who wins the biggest gift: a SRAM GX groupset.
