@vineet ... All you just need a 1.5 --> 1 1//8th reducer ... most headsets guys sell that ... infact depending on your headset all you need is a new bearing race ... you're welcome, now you can buy it.
@bogdan ... Unless his bike has a 1 1/8 head tube which is probably the case because short travel bikes don't run 1.5 inch head tubes. That's probably also the reason the fork is so cheap, it won't fit anyone's short travel trail or xc bike.
well i feel like damning the person who came up with taper headtube to hell.... along with 15mm qr, close bath suspension systems, octaline, 142mm rear hubs, derailleur hangers, pistonless brakes, long cage derailleurs, boomerang chainguides, and high riser bars
DEAR BOGDAN: one of my bike is a Giant XTC full sus frame for which im planning to upgrade the fork..that bike has 1/18 head tube..for what i know 1.5 are beefy..and i dont think that will be compatible .. im not too sure about reducer. no, a 1.5 WILL NOT FIT, that is a headtube designed for internal headsets... back then they thought it would make it stiffer than normal but it doesnt really make a difference
Seems a bit silly...mountain biking has become much too product and consumption oriented. It's not really about products. Sure you need a bike, but once you have one, appreciate what you have and ride more. "Get you shop on?" Really? I can think of 100000 other, better ways to spend my time.
Mountainbiking has been about selling stuff since it started out. Sure its about feeling one with nature, having incredible freedom and about enjoying yourself, but thats just how you feel about that. Companies still want to make money. For you its a hobby, a way to spend your free time. If not on mountainbike gear, you'd be spending your money on something else. But thats your (and every one elses) choice. You don't need to buy anything. And just because its on sale doens't mean you have to fork over cash. Buy something if you need it. Now if that happen to coincide with a sale, good for you. Mountainbiking is as susceptible to consumption consumerism as any other thing
No, if you put all ingredients to make a maegarita into the damper and ride with it, it's gonna make a great shaker, cavitation should add some bubbles - win win!
I like the black friday idea. Buy tons of sht you don't need for
no reason, just because it's a bargain - I think W. saw it as a way of saving economy

That's your black friday deal? That's the normal sales price they've had on bc.com and they have a way better return policy... I'm disappointed in you pinkbike.
We're not BC.com and we don't sell hundreds of these. We have a few and are selling them off and yep that is the best we can do - buying mass helps at their end, it is different US to CDN too. Lots of variables there to consider Scott, but thanks for your concern.
Not everyone in this site is in the USA either. bc.com charges $37 for shipping.....OH WAIT.....THEY CANT SHIP GOPRO OUTSIDE OF THE USA SO THEY ARE USELESS ALTOGETHER.
RONDAL, my point being that ANYWHERE you get this camera, you're getting this deal. Thanks for freaking out though over one example I put out there though. And to brule, the only concern I have is just how you guys marketed the deal but it's your site and you can run er however you want. BTW those other deals are PRIME.
Correct Scott those others are bangers and yep we have a higher MSRP due to higher costs, but wanted to offer something that folks could use at this time of year. And like Rondal said, not everyone can buy from BC or GoPros sites due to sales territories etc.
Don't forget to support your local bike shop! They are usually the ones that keep the trails in good shape, petition for bicycle friendly laws and regulations, and other countless (usually) behind-the-scenes activities. Plus, they will fix your bike up after you mess it up. Go check them out!
Really PinkBike? You had to jump on the consumerist bandwagon with the 'Black Friday' thing. I liked to think this site a haven from that kind of thinking.
Its Canadian retail. Unfortunately we have more tax in Canada and most of our products are more expensive than the states. On a positive note though, our country is not going bankrupt :/
