Episode - 12 VEGAS BABY... VEGAS!

Vegas?
Well the bus made it as far as the rampage site in Utah so why not just go another 10 hours to hit the biggest event in biking - Interbike in Las Vegas. Episode 12 is technically the last episode of the tour so things kind of get wrapped up for the year in this episode but there's still episode 13 which sums everything up and rounds out season 3.We pick up at the Rampage site where we left off. Tyler is stoked that he just hit the big double drop line and wants to throw down some more. The "Mullet Line" is a line down the mountain the Rampage is held on near Virgin, Utah. It was first done and named by Andrew Shandro, Vanderham, and Watson a long time ago for Ride To The Hills. It's a significant point in freeride Mountain Biking history because it set the progression of the sport in a certain direction and it's a lot of riders' dream to ride that line. Ryan Schnepf got to train Super T down it on his birthday.
Before Interbike every year is the "Dirt Demo" which is held outdoors in a little town called Bootleg Canyon on the way to the Hoover Dam from Vegas. All the top riders are there testing out the new products alongside the company bigwigs, retailers, and random riders but the main goal for everyone is to hang out and have some fun before heading inside the Sands expo center for 3 full days of business, business, business. It was a lot of fun. Kyle Strait had his 50cc mini bike there that everyone kept stealing (including me), and he brought some replica 9mm handguns that shot plastic BB's which he and his Dad were shooting each other with... Redneck Americans!
There's some amazing dirt jumping to see from the Dirt Demo area. McCaul is finally back from the Ride To The Lake contest in Germany where he got 2nd place and his family is with him. Tyler McCaul, Cam's younger bro, does some riding with Wayne Goss, Steve, and Cam.
It was good seeing Pat McCaul, Cam's Dad, again. The last time I saw him was when he dropped Cam off at the bus in Chiliwack over 2 months earlier. I wasn't sure that he would leave Cam with us that day after he got a look at the bus. He noticed our sweet wiring job and started looking to see if the bus had fire exits. I had to demonstrate how you could escape if a fire did break out on the bus because Pat is a fireman and didn't have any confidence in this dirtbag-mobile he was inspecting. I don't know how I sqeezed out that window but I'm glad I could because Cam might not have been in Season 3 if I didn't. Thanks Pat.

Anyway we made it to Vegas and Bender was on a mission to get arrested and bring us all down with him. Before I knew what was happening he was climbing onto the roof while I drove down the strip. Even though you can do a lot in Vegas that you can't do enywhere else the police don't mess around about the little stuff. That concerned me but the fact that the ladder leading to the roof of the bus was broken and could let go at any moment concerned me more. So much for seat belts. We spent the next three days at Interbike where we all had meetings to do and people to meet. We were hanging at Adidas eyewear's booth when Tyler looks down at the Bike Magazine on the coffee table and realizes he's on the cover!
Dylan broke away from the trade show long enough to ride the ditches around Vegas and we snagged Ryan Leech away from constantly signing autographs to build a street ride seggie.

Block 8 & Electra hooked us up with a bunch of cruiser bikes to take one last ride down the strip together with. These things were a lot of fun and sooo PIMP! Just like you need for the flashy lights of Vegas.

Tyler: "What do you know? We're in Vegas, Ryan's getting arrested, what an awesome way to just wrap her up here".
