For freeride mountain biking professional Sam Pilgrim, a year on tour comes with podiums, crashes, injuries, missed flights, made tricks, parties, hangovers, moments of both frustration and glory. Teva shares an introspective look into the mind of freeride MTB athlete Sam Pilgrim, as he shares, first hand, the emotions that accompany competition, defeat, and perseverance at the biggest mountain biking contest of the year, Crankworx Whistler.
but hes right, im ment, rampage has become a slopestyle event whit dh bikes, the judges rated more a big trick at the end instead of a natural line"A TRUE BIG MOUNTAIN RIDE". I wanna see a enterview to berrecloth, atherton or bender to see what they think of new rampage.
Im sure The Claw is not happy on the way Rampage is going to go down this year. It was all about hitting gnarly unique lines and not about tricks...which is the way it should stay.
I never liked Pilgrim, but the more and more edits I watch of him the more I realize how good of a dude he is. Now I want to see him kill it at the rampage.
It's called being nervous... like he said, you just have to be able to start your run and get into it. Most people get a little antsy when a crowd that big shows up to watch them ride. Then throw in the wind factor and you've got yourself a sh!t storm of emotion.
Sam Pilgrim!!! One of my favorites for sure, such an awesome personality! I watched a video a long time ago of Pilgrim doing the first 26" bikeflip and then I saw his big toothless grin and I told all my friends, watch this guy on Diamond Back (then), he's gonna win Crankworx one day! I still believe it~!
sam's last quote says it all " As long as i keep having fun on my bike. thats all that really matters"...good words to live by sam and best of luck to you the rest of the way
You really notice that all have respect for Cam, he is like a foundation of dirt bikes who has been there always! Respect to all u guys who are doing this and risking everything!
Who else laughed out loud?
