Troy Lee Designs 2012 Glance

 If I bought some TLD kit I'd be quite worried about getting it dirty!

 I'd lay it on my bed and just stare at the beautiful creations from the troy lee God until i was able to ride with it..and maybe consider the fact that it could get dirty

 There's the D3 pinstripe and the D2 midnight that are all black (or mostly, anyway)

 i'm i the only one thinking more than half of their products are extremely ugly?

 i love tld there stuff can be a bit pricy sometimes but you cant argue they never fail to make a solid product

Heck no! It's meant to be dirty. But, on a serious note, out of the 5 years I wore a set of TLD racing pants for BMX and went down a zillion times, they never really got dirty. Even the whites on them stayed pretty clean. TLD uses pretty high end colors and fabrics IMO.

Pricey meh. Not at all for the gear. TLD is top notch stuff that many times will last a decade or more of abuse.

 The plain black D3 was the first to sell out haha.

 D2 phobia was nearly all black too... I love that orange D3!!!! It would be sick with a voltage kit of the same colour!

 The new d3 Palmer looks super sick! No chance of me getting one though, unless my current d3 gets smashed... Knocking on wood

 rffr, this isnt much point in making them last so long as TLD are bringing out even sicker gear each year that just forces you to buy a whole new kit after only one season

 if you dont like the girl colours buy a mens kit.... its not like they force you to wear womans jerseys. buy what ever the hell you want.

 Nic, a woman's structure, shape, and form, are much different than a mans. A jersey, pants, shorts etc are all different. Sure a girl can wear a guys jersey, but it won't fit right what so ever.

If your a girl and don't like the new stuff, search around or look on ebay. There are old gen TLD stuff that looks awsome for gals, and doesn't have all this uber girly stuff on it.

Doesn't surprise me with nic's comment, as he has an album called "bikes and bitches". Obviously he really has no idea about females, as I don't know one female that would friend someone with a mentality of "bikes and bitches".

 Thanks rffr. It's definitely about fit! I think my frustration comes from the fact that a lot of the men's jerseys are designed super rad, what would be so wrong about making a women's fit as well? (even if they just changed the colours)

As a graphic designer I understand how tough this market is. I also hate to accept how small the market for women's apparel is. Especially when I live on the North shore and often see as many women riding the trails as men.

Personally I liked a lot of the designs that came out last year, fox, tld, even dakine. After looking at tld's full collection I think they probably have enough diversity in their designs to satisfy. This particular jersey that they chose to feature just looks like it came out 4 years ago.

IS THAT A CHICK WEARING A BOYS KIT... OH NO SHE MUST BE SO UNCOMFORTABLE IN IT!!!! every human being has a different fit when it comes to clothing because most people are different sizes i know for me my tld pants are way to long but the waist fits me perfect oh and im a male and they are meant for.... wait for it MALES?!?!?!?! would you like me to change the album name to scones and tea? will i have more female friends if i do that?

 @iwantapinkbike: I'm totally with you. The jersey issue has plagued me for a few years now, especially as I've added more body armour to the set up. The men's jerseys are far too large and the women's jerseys? Forget about it. I may as well chop it off halfway up and wear it as a necklace. Too short, too tight and WHAT HAPPENED TO LONGSLEEVED WOMEN'S JERSEYS? While I'd love to rock a moto jersey or something of the sort, most summer days in Utah are scorchers and even a thick jersey can give you heatstroke. I'd love to hear more about what other chicks want, but this chick just wants to move in something that's not pink and covered in flowers... Ugh. (or baby blue plaid)

 Same here man, i would rather rock a old Slayer t-shirt and cargo shorts, than most of the new school stuff out there. I think Alpine Stars has got the best looking kit this year, my two sence though...

 D2 is hardly dead, it still sells well and we have them for 2012, lower price as well!

 its not like your paying for the brand name though, there IS a reason its so high priced

 part of it is paying for the name but most of it is paying for one of the best bike helmets you can buy

 not really, its not much better than a kali or an urge down-o-matic... I saw a down-o-matic in my LBS the other day, I was astonished by the quality and the price

Retail for the D3 is expensive for sure, but I saw tons online way less than retail, like more than 30% off.

 Boylagz: i highly doubt that when TLDs crash replacement is 30% off...

I was talking to the rep and he said 30% off is approaching wholesale price.

 SO do the new D3s. Much better than last years IMO. I was scared of the snakes last year!
