Jordan Hodder finds some time to rip it up in Squamish on his trail bike after a long race season. You can't ride an 8" bike everyday, and in an area like Squamish why would you want too?
SEGMENTS is brought to you by: Dylan Forbes, Mitch Gulliver, and Justin Roy
I wish there was a full length feature film like this. Just something that shows aggressive trail riding, something that the majority of riders can relate to. The slope style, huge hucks/whips and DH films are getting a little repetitive.
I Agree, If truth was told the majority of us can't even barspin. I like jumps, but Just some good old fashioned trail riding at high speeds never get's old. IMO.
I dont mind climbing, but I hate climbing from a constant up and down up and down type of riding.....but put a long long constant climb in front of me with the killer gravity session to follow and I will earn it every time!
here comes everyone bagging on 29ers.....Think about it does it even matter? as long you are out riding your bike and having a good time. at the end of the day you are gunna be having a good time weather its on a 29er 26er or 650b.
Wow, I just realized that "certain wheel size" got auto corrected to "shell sixpence" in my comment..but seriously, everyone has their own preferences, no need to get mad at them for their opinions
'may not be what a 5" 29er was designed to do...' not sure what part of that super smooth trail wasnt EXACTLY what a 5" 29er or any bike! hardtail full sus big medium or small wheels was designed for! Just boecause a trail has a few jumps in it doesnt mean you need a DH bike tho!
Some gnar was shredded no matter if he's on wagon wheels or not. Still don't understand why anyone wears goggles on an open face helmet. If it ain't dusty, you completely lose any visual advantage, might as well protect your dental work with a full face or just wear some glasses. Oh, he prob has a goggle sponsor, carry on pink bikers...
He's going so fast it'll strip the moisture from your eyes like sideways tears. I only know that from skitching trucks on the road not from riding trail that fast. Happens at about 80 kph.
I wear contact lenses and absolutly love my goggles for obvious reasons. Contacts dry out real fast at 35mph even with snazy safety glases. Also, I like to ride up long steep hills and have no interest in wearing a fullface while doing so. Goggles are not just for dust, they protect your eyes from mud, branches, rocks... and keep your eyes moisty.
This is how to market a bike! Most people looking for a 29er aren't gonna be shredding like this. But that is Rocky Mountain, they make top shelf bikes.
IDK maybee its the root of all mountain biking wether you are on dh rig or all mountain bike oh I'm sorry i mean "enduro" bike or any other mountain bike. you have to know what it feels like to pedal up the hill to know how to appreciate your shuttle or your chairlift to the top as a DH rider.
