This past weekend was a great weekend for riders in New Mexico. It was the grand opening of the North Valley Bike Park in Albuquerque, NM. Over the past year, riders have been working with the Bernalillo Country to create a bike skills park in substitution of the old Duke City BMX track. Riders were breaking in to the old location because many didn’t have memberships to the new Duke City BMX Track and the new BMX track was only open on certain days for a short amount of hours.
The County, Hilrid and the local riders came together to develop a park for the community that everyone can ride for free. After a few meetings over the winter, the county finally broke ground in July. After 3 short months, dozens of riders stand in front of the gates of the bike park as I did in anticipation of the grand opening. Finally when the ribbon was cut everyone rushed to enjoy the new North Valley Bike Park.
Sorry for the lack of pictures of the park, I was riding my bike.

If you keep taking all these comments about Mexico so serious you'll become a way-too-frustrated man. Accept the fact that racist jokes will always be there, and I'm pretty sure you make some too (;
