Funny you mention that because it looks like they were heavily influenced by his edits. It seriously felt like a MacAskill edit without Danny or a bike. Impressive stuff although I could help but giggle at his "running away" stance after he pulled off whatever insane thing it was.
Haha same here. It looks so weird / awkward when he lands something cool and he starts running away.
Better off landing it and stay there showing you land in full balance just like gymnasts do, than to run away, which rather looks like you're trying to cover up your out of balance landing.
How can Remy think he could win the gopro contest with that video? Not that it's not super steeep and rough, but he's riding like 10 seconds. I think the jury waits more.
On his Facebook fanpage he did say he uses a clip he shot for the video of his sponsor Camelbak. I don't think GoPro will let a clip win that is filmed for the promotional video of some other company.
^ You all would be surprised at what rules GoPro will bend/break to let this win. BTW this is the sketchy rock face at the top of Whistler. There's some web series with Tippie hitting this beast. nutter.
This brings back memories...in 2009 I rode from Amterdam to Istanbul along the Danube. Trip of a lifetime! Recommend it to any & everyone. If i could do it, anyone can. Touring bike, old steel frame, road bike, young, old....didn't matter. Nothing like eating, riding, sleeping on repeat. Life becomes so beautifully simple.
When I think of how many times I've tripped up just walking along, or caught a belt loop on a door handle. I'm safer on a bike - hats off to free runners.
