Good thing they're building BC another bike park, I hear they don't have anywhere to ride out there

It's because tons of super dedicated people put huge amounts of time and effort into advocating, building and maintaining places like this. It CAN happen anywhere, if people put in the work.

Ya we have it rough, I have to go a whole 2 blocks for some okay trails maybe 45 minutes for some great ones, it's pretty depressing really Wink

rcooper you would probably have the same thing if you didn't sit on your ass all day complaining about BC having places to ride on the internet and instead got the same thing going. This place wouldn't take much effort if you got a lot of motivated people together.

dude colorado has mountains... I think..... build some lines!

We cant have as many sick places like that though, so no matter how dedicated people are theres so many terms and conditions on building, all public land is illegal to build on, and when you do buy private land to build on then the insurance is so high that many people cant afford to run them, and not to mention the lack of hills around london...

rcooper, I dont know where you have been riding but we have it good here in Denver area, tons of front range trails that you can ride most of the year even in winter and some of which you can shuttle. Three resort bike parks with in an hour and a half drive. frisco bike park, valmont bike park, sunset jumps, 6th ave jumps in downtown denver, summit county trails, and Colorado springs has some of the best trails I've ever ridden, Bar trail and Pipeline are both 5000 foot decent trails you can shuttle and fruita, Grand Junction and Moab are only a few hours drive. besides living in BC we have it better than most.

lol don't worry, i know this part of surrey, it's not that ghetto, if you want the ghetto part, try 108 and king george which is the complete opposite direction of invergarry, you should try it lol

Just got home from a session at this little park. Tons of fun. Check it out if you get a chance. The guys who built the jump trail did a good job. Thanks to all the people who picked up a shovel. Cheers

Ha public riding. I live in Cali and there isn't a legal downhill trail within 4 hours. And don't even get me started on how many times and locations we have tried to build at. BC has it so good. Dammit I'm cranky

Vernon has silver star, but we don't even have a public bike park in town to ride at. It's very sad
  • 4 1
There are no good bike parks in Alberta.. You shouldn't complain, Silverstar is amazing!
  • 4 0
Neither of you should be complaining, you live in Canada.

it's pretty eye opening (for lack of better explanation) riding over a skinny thats high up and think about how much of a pain in the ass it would be to build

I think the real secret to our bike park success is universal health care. It's always a pow wow in the emerg room after a day of riding

Hot bowl of curry after a long ride would be so good
