To give a new twist to what is the amazing sport of downhill mountain biking, and raise the profile of downhill mountain biking to people both inside and outside of the sport.

This is no small undertaking it has taken over 12 months work to get the get the race organized, Edinburgh Council have been really helpful along with Historic Scotland who have welcomed the event, they have worked very hard with us to make this event happen, we have received an enthusiastic response from the local people who want to see this amazing race on their streets.

Race organizer Chris Roberts said, “the vibe of Edinburgh makes this the perfect city for this spectacular event, we are expecting thousands of action fans and general public to line the streets & alleyways of Edinburgh to see all the action.”

The race will also feature a massive 6 meter high bridge built just for this race. There is a major construction that will span 14 meters across Johnston terrace for the duration of the race, this bridge has been designed to still allow coaches to pass underneath, due to the size of the bridge they have designed extra water tanks to hold the bridge in place.
