So sick!! Whoever wrote all the details is a bit clueless.. Nike 2.0, Omeal, Commercial? Semenuk's 22 and on Fox and Shimano?....
  • 2 1
 along with dainsie?
  • 9 1
I can't stand that Brad announcer guy. Is there going to be a full highlight vid at somepoint?
  • 1 2
 maybe who wrote was drunk!
  • 2 0
You could've won Phil! I've seen you throw down 99% of those tricks Razz
  • 25 2
I think yannik should of won, he landed all his 3 xups perfectly, and landed a flip whip and a backflip indian airr perfectly
  • 11 3
I agree with p2rider12, semenuk shouldn't have won that comp.
  • 3 1
 ^+1
  • 1 1
 same!
  • 3 0
semenuk won cuz his run was alot more tech. im pretty sure semenuk sent all the biggest lines too like over the shed and the freebird while yannick went onto the shed than the little trick jump lip
  • 1 0
^ oh ya all TWO of them
  • 1 0
shusshhhh flip whip the free bird = out of control sick
  • 2 0
if Yannick had taken the big jump instead of small on the last hit he wouldve won it. it's just about the line choice when the runs are that dialled..
  • 1 0
 3 x-up > flip
270 our of berm > straight air
oppo 3 > 3 x-up
truck driver > 3 x-up
and ontop of that semenuk hit the freebird line. i believe he deserved to win even with the foot dab
  • 1 0
OK i'm not trying to start a huge-ass argument, although i will admit that my first reply to you was kind of rude.
For Semenuk:
3 X-Up > B-Flip
270 > Straight air
Flipwhip over Freebird > Indian Air flip
Airing Shred Shed > Riding It
For Yannick:
Corkflip X-Up > Dabbed Truck
Flipwhip >> Tuck no.
Tuck No. > B-Spin (only on a small jump like that)
Equal:
Oppo 3 = 3 X-Up

Plus the airtime on the freebird and the other are virtually the same, the only diference is height vs. distance. IE: The flipwhip is hardly better than the Indian Air.

The 2 runs were crazy close, but i think that Yann should've won by a hair, not the other way around.

And if this contest is judged by the same format as the Red Bull Rampage, then there are 4 equal categories:
Amplitude: Semenuk
Run Difficulty: Semenuk (hardly)
Fluidity: Yannick
Style(I Think?): Yannick

Finally, everyone has the right to their own opinion and it's not like us two arguing over the internet is going to change the result. Wink

which is why you should give up the arguement hahaha but really do you all think that the comp was rigged or something??? like come on people the judges felt that semenuk had a better run the yannick and that is why he won. now are you getting paid to judge the event??? no so just accept that semenuk is the sickest rider out there at this time
  • 1 0
everyone should just stop arguing because we are not the judges and if you read the first comment then the last reply.... they are totally different. so i think people just need to stop going off on tangents and cluttering up my dashboard with stuff i dont really care about lol now this marks the end of whatever you guys were talking about.
  • 1 0
No, of course the comp wasn't rigged. Semenuk is pre' sick. Argument officially over, because people are starting to get pissed.
  • 17 5
damn Yannick had the first place run
  • 28 5
 1. Yannick 2. Semenuk 3. Strait
  • 12 3
I completely agree - Yannick was the best - and since when can you win with a dab - not a perfect run. I felt the level of difficulty was better in Yannick's IMO.
  • 6 2
 couldnt agree more
  • 10 3
^ I think you guys are completely missing the part where Semenuk did a flip whip off the BIGGER side of free bird whereas Yannick, and most competitors, hit the smaller and poppier side... that's where he could have picked up more points than Yannick despite putting one foot down because that normal ramp is a ton more ballsier to trick than the newer ramp.
  • 2 2
so true thought that same thing !
  • 4 2
A backflip indian air is still sicker than a flipwhip and Semenuk only did a tuck no hander on the second dirt jump.
  • 1 0
 Hard to say.
  • 9 4
Semenuk's run was better, even with a dab. Yannick straight aired a few, did 2 360 x-up's and took the small take-off on the last hit. Yannick also only tricked 9 times, Semenuk tricked 10. They both had nice runs though but the judges got it right.
  • 3 3
Yannick defo had the best run
  • 2 1
Yannick straight aired One, not a few
  • 2 2
@scott-townes; no we realised that, and still think Yannick's run was better
  • 1 0
i think yannicks run was better than the run they posted for semenuk up there, but i think semenuks second run was better than his first, cuz he trucked the first step down, and 3 whipped the double( still put one foot down tho) other than that everything was also smoother. but still a hard call between yannick and semenuks run
  • 4 1
Get some announcers who are really on the game. And, I really didn't see anything in these runs that were "OMG" crazy. It looked as though these videos were of practice runs. Still, would have had a great time seeing everyone and meet some real riders!
  • 6 0
The course was REALY slippery. It was hard for the riders to throw there biggest tricks.
  • 3 0
That would explain a lot. It just didn't seem like they were up to par. Water never makes it easy.
  • 2 0
Nah man seriously, sometimes when they landed you could see that it was wet and slippery.!
  • 8 1
 kyle strait's back
  • 2 0
semenuk tuck no handered a jump yannic flip whipped, yannic did an indian air flip which doesnt pail in comparison to semenuks flip whip off the harder jump, and semenuk dabbed which for all other riders in all other competitions has been serverly penilised
  • 3 1
That side of freebird isnt really bigger the angle of the take off is really shallow so although the gap is farther, the closer jump to freebird sends you higher because it has a steeper takeoff angle, i call bs. 1. Yannick 2. Semenuk 3.Strait
  • 5 1
Thank you Mark and all of the Highland Crew.... Claymore gets bigger and better every year...
  • 7 1
 SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!!!
  • 2 0
 Holy shitake mushroom!
  • 3 0
Come on guys, quit acting like it was obvious that Yannick should have one. Pretty close to a tie if you ask me, but I agree with the judges, Semenuk wins by a hair.
  • 1 0
I'm not sure why everyone thinks being smooth ALWAYS has to win the contest. Sometimes taking risks is favored by the judges.. Also I'm sure no judge favors Semenuk over any other rider. If anything they would favor Strait just for being a veteran. Just my 2 cents...
  • 1 0
rough trick hucking is horrible and will get you nowhere in a competition. put down a tidy, stylish, smooth yet still fairly gnarly run and the judges will be all over it.
  • 1 0
Greg watts isn't smooth. He won Crankworx.
  • 1 0
his run was tidy and put together well, and the other riders up for the top spot (Semenuk, Berecloth) ended up going to hospital... Watt's is a damn dialled rider.

 whoa, double vision
  • 4 2
The most cool thing about this contest was that kyle strait was in it! now we should change all the chuck norris stuff to kyle strait.
  • 1 0
I agree Klye Strait is a BOSS!
  • 3 0
semenuk looked upset with first, idk why
  • 1 0
 probably the dab
  • 2 0
When u guys goin 2 put the whole thing up like last year i missed the broad cast and want 2 see the whole thing
  • 1 0
Yannik's run was on point. I think he is going to continue to progress. This is just the tip of the iceberg for him. He should have won.
  • 1 1
I think to be honest the bias towards semenuk is disgusting, the judges giving him yannics well deserved money on top of everything else
  • 3 2
Not that I'm disagreeing with you, but I foresee hating Semenuk to be the next big trend on PB.
  • 1 0
Cyrix. I fear you are right.
  • 4 2
Yannick run was a bit better, nicer to watch and smoother than Semenuk
  • 2 1
 yep i agree
  • 1 0
 ya superflips are STEEZY!!
  • 2 0
dont really like the whole "shut the front door" thing kinda annoying
  • 1 0
they are all first coz the difference was just a little bit point
  • 2 1
Second place had the best run!
  • 2 1
+1 Granieri is the winner !
  • 2 1
To be honest I like strait's run the best....
  • 2 2
 OMG semenuk what a BEAST!!
  • 17 2
Semenuk's run was sick but I can't shake the feeling that he gets a few extra points just for showing up...
  • 3 1
I feel that in the same way.
  • 4 1
Agreed, Yannic should have won with semenuk second. His run may not have had as many tricks, but it was much smoother and semenuk had to put a food down (a detail the judges seemed to ignore)
  • 2 1
 bradon semenuk won tho
  • 2 1
 really?
  • 1 0
ya i think that Yannic shoud have won and so does a lot of other ppl but it was so sick to watch
  • 1 0
 Nice runs!
