Live Stream Now Finished: 'The Old World' Features Some of Europe's Wildest Riding

Dec 5, 2020
by Andi Tillmann

A Tillmann Brothers film co-produced by Red Bull Media House. Watch it live for 24 hours here!

It's been 4 years since we the Tillmann Brothers kicked off 'The Old World' together with the help from Flo Moser from Red Bull Media House. We would have never thought that this project will dominate our lives the way it did over the next years. It was a crazy ride with 2 years of principal photography with round about 94 days of shooting and we are more than excited to finally show you the result. We put our heart and soul into this movie to achieve something that we can be proud of and that brings biking to the people to motivate them to go out and ride.

We could have never realised this project without the help of our amazing parters like Lutz Kugler from BMW, CJ Selig from Adidas | Five Ten, Tobias Keuthen from Vitec Group and Laura Kaufmann from Leitz Cine. Also we want to thank everyone who helped us throughout this crazy shoot from crew to athletes to tourism boards. Please take your time to also check out the credits of this movie to see who helped making it possible.

Finally we want to thank our friend Julian Mittelstädt who shot all these amazing pictures for our project and who helped wherever and whenever he could. Make sure you check him out on www.jmvotography.com! If you enjoyed this free livestream, want to support the filmmakers and still need a nice 4k HDR Dolby Atmos Christmas present make sure you keep your eyes peeled on iTunes over the next weeks. Another big shout out goes to the Red Bull Media House Equipment Pool, who helped immensely with this project as well as to the internal color and audio team from RBMH who we worked together with.

We are very proud to present you The Old World. From the first idea, over screenplay writing, producing, directing, shooting to editing 'The Old World' was created by the Tillmann brother trio Toni, Andi and Michi.

Is it just me, or is this movie actually really bad?

Might be because I had high expectations, but I feel pretty sure it’s just a really bad movie... definitely not gonna watch again, and usually watch MTB movies over and over and over.

Still a huge fan of Vink, Vinny T, la poma etc, but this movie, the music etc is just terrible IMO!
  • 31 9
Not just you - there’s no denying the skill of the riders but the film itself left me cold - all that messing about developing photos between segments was cringe
  • 22 10
Kinda agree. Loved the rider footage but way too much fluffing around in between.
  • 24 5
Yeah, the stuff between the action was a bit obscure but Vink / Vinny and Akrigg save the day for a one off watch
  • 7 1
Have to agree, it wasn't for me. Vink/Godziek, Vinny T and Akrigg's sections were without doubt the saviours, but I think that pays testament to just how good/stylish they are as riders more so than the edit
  • 12 2
And the amount of adds is just crazy
  • 10 2
 Musics were so bad
  • 8 2
Yea this movie got way way wayyyy to hyped up.
  • 4 4
I agree. I found it really boring, lots of very skilled people jumping on and off things in various ways with lots of flips and spins. Does no one film riding natural single track or does it all have to be super groomed manmade stuff?
  • 10 5
That was a BAD movie !
  • 4 2
I was disappointed as well. Didn’t last till the end, and wathched Atherton ridgeline again.
  • 11 9
Most of you only like gopro videos with random rock music in the background and can't appreciate when some film makers work on a MTB project and create something different. What ya gonna do... you cant please everybody .
  • 6 0
There is a part like with wibmer videos, awesome riding but weird music choice and strange story.
  • 2 0
"Really bad" might be a bit too harsh. Might be a victim of edit by committee, seems to lack a singular vision and cohesive edit.
  • 4 1
Agreed, this wasn't a good Film. Some interesting parts but too much boring storytelling and musics.

I had expectations : Red Bull média house, good riders line up, Europe focused (it really says this will make you proud of being in this place), time limited premiere.

Thanks for sharing btw
  • 2 0
Maybe not really bad, but seems to have missed the mark a little. I almost shut it off 5 minutes into it because there still wasn't any action. No real riding or excitement until 6 minutes into the video. The talent of riders was incredible, but it almost seems like it was a marketing video you'd show to potential sponsors or non-riders than a video you'd show to enthusiasts.

Don't know what you're really talking about mate... That's because it is a film, a movie... not another borring old bikevideo where you see someone riding and then after 2 minutes it just ends... There is a story behibd it. Like a real movie. If you clicked on it and expected to watch a Raw100 from Semenuk you will of course be disapointed. Give the Tillmanbrothers some credit. They brought a format of Movies back from the dead. The good old mountainbike movies with storys and an actual movie-like features is not to be confused with some instagramclips from Jasparpenton...
  • 3 4
@chrismac70: sorry that's just a mean comment from someone that doesn't like slopestyle and bmx... it's a film with freeride and bmx riders, off course the main focus will be on the tricks and jumps... you don't find jumps big or good eneough for tricks on a natural singletrack...
  • 3 6
@lowkeyevil: 100% agreed! They put in so much time and effort to bring back a format that was extinct and then the instagram reel and tiktok fans that can't last more than 25s watching a video start to complain.
I bet they invested more time writing the comments and complaining than watching the actual movie
  • 1 4
@fracasnoxteam: it's not just about the riding or the music, you have to watch it as a story... like in a normal hollywood movie. You don't watch every scene and think about how good or bad the music is

@Zuman: what about the story though? If you watch it without expecting to have a backgroud story and ignoring every asoect of the movie-side of the film it's shurely not gonna make any scense and seem dull...

@Lolo-the-frenchie: yeah it's because it is a mtv MOVIE and not a 15s video filled with bangers. It has a story behind it, a connection between shots and every scene is well thought through.
  • 3 2
@Hienabu: I respect the fact that you enjoyed it. But I'm confused : Did I talked about short video edits ? I enjoyed Life Cycle even with it's very long storyline. If you want to talk about the fact that this is a movie, it's the same non sense than talking about porn movie storyline No one cares !

Last year commençal realised a commercial Film about a new bike and I enjoyed it : www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhhHsdF7ZEU

I think so too. after the screening.
I started the old movie "whats next": D.

@Hienabu: yeah. Agreed. I still enjoyed this movie, I actually liked the soundtrack, and thought it was creative, different, and we were itching to get out on the bikes.
  • 1 0
@Hienabu: back from the dead? Didn't Return to Earth come out in 2019?
  • 2 0
@Hienabu: i watched it as a story. And the music was still a bad match to me. And this please stop about this story vs tiktok banger. I'm old enough to be a dad and my son have children too, so your tiktok/story/young generation argument doesn't apply. You liked it we know why, we don't and you know why.

Very strange feel from this film. Seems like creators wanted to put something more then riding to this film, but this doesn't work together as for me. And riding is over edited, while generally awesome. Level of production is insane but directed in weird way as for me.

Being straight - difficult not to think that they needed to make some "representation of underrepresented groups" because of some policies. So they pushed this storyline with this traveler and photograhper. At first it started interesting but after first riding segment it became some weird cringe. It looks like it could be a proper fictional road movie about this character, this Black guy cyclist, traveler and photographer. But it's cramed into one more MTB superstars edit. Or if they really want representation of underrepresented groups - they could just make film about riders from that social groups.
Featuring Brooklyn Bell for example (insta: badgal_brooky). Or biking guides of Nepal for example.

Disclamer - it's not hate comment, just how I feel, peace and love for everyone. I'm truely open for diversity and inclusivity when it is sincere.
  • 2 4
I totally agree with you in the representation angle, and I could really deconstruct it if I thought anyone actuallly cared. At the end of the day, though, you have an African-descended immigrant watching a bunch of “old world” European white dudes do amazing stuff while he’s relegated to voyeur and an inability to perform at their level (he attempts who wheelie and bunny hop and such on his bike). As I said above, it would have been more interesting if they would have moved him from voyeur to integrated participant by featuring him in a segment where he rides... mauve something new school and representative of current minority strength in the cycling scene like BMX or Wheelie bikes.
  • 4 1
@Hogfly: also, maybe it's just mine russian point of view, but I don't know if the controversy "Old World"/"New World" is real thing in context of mountain biking. From here it's all just Big West)
  • 3 0
@Sirflyingv: it isn't a controversy, but it is definitely a real distinction, the 'old world' powers of western Europe 'discovered' then colonised the 'new world' western countries like the USA, Canada, Australia etc. I don't believe there is any real rivalry based on it and especially not in mountain biking but historically, it is a real thing.
  • 3 0
@farkinoath: historically and sometimes politically ofcourse. I mean I never heard anything like, oh here in North America we do it like this and in old Europe riders do it like that... For example, in music world - there are really difference how it goes in Europe and in America both for fans and musicians. But MTB (and other outdoor sports) is more global movement, as I know.

  • 35 21
Dunno about those hate comments here...? But I absolutely loved watching that movie and I would for sure pay for a higher-quality version for my viewing pleasure!
The different approach with the scenes in between actually made great sense, because otherwise it would have been just a bunch of different people, locations and styles thrown into one bag.

Big up for @TillmannBrothers and @redbull for making this piece of art.
  • 15 0
Would not call them hate comments, everybody can have their opinions. To me some negative responses came as a surprise though. It's a high quality movie with plenty of great riding and scenery. The movie probably has a different style than other recent movies, return to earth for example, that give a more collegial friendly vibe
  • 6 0
Totally agree with your opinion. Finally not a poor copy of where the trails end. Good action. Vinny-T's part is new school nwd part. so amazing!
  • 2 4
 Same????

not sure about big car companies in bike movies
  • 5 2
Same, IMO that's just a good example for the overmarketing of mountainbiking. But Redbull is co-producer so i didn't expect sth else...
  • 10 1
I'm ok with seeing a car or other product between scenes every now and then when I'm not paying for the movie.
  • 4 4
@bikexela: why its great because the buget with a big car company standing your bag is unreal more money = better movie
  • 3 2
That BMW was so shiny and clean... it just does not belong there.
  • 12 1
The movie didn't really do the trick for me, but opposed to others here I wouldn't say it was bad. Production quality was as high as you come to expect. For me it wasn't exciting mainly because I just don't enjoy watching bmx and slopestyle. I find both a bit boring to be honest. I'd rather watch Chris Akrigg and Vincent Tupin do freeride things in scenic locations, than another dude doing the same tailwhip on the same ramp for the tenth time. But Chris and Vinny made it worth watching IMO.
  • 7 7
watching emil and martin is boring? dude whats wrong with you?
  • 6 1
@daviddobner97: in fairness it was the same three jumps over and over, with the same tricks you see them throw in every contest, so if a triple bar or double whip 3 can be boring (note: they can't IMO) than yes, I could see why he was bored.

Check out their recent park/slopestyle video for a very different version of the same type of riding & tricks.
  • 2 0
@plyawn: Sure. the problem is to get us stoked. back in the days ther were only a few movies like nwd that shows the world what is the top notche. but nowadays with insta etc it's way to hard to create that feeling. They put so much work and time in this project. I really enjoyed it!
  • 5 0
@plyawn: I agree it was boring. I can admire the skill but watching people flip and spin of the same purpose built jumps is all a bit dull.
  • 1 0
@daviddobner97: Don't get me wrong. I can definitley appreciate how skillful and stylish those slopestyle runs are. But on a level that I would admire any skilled athlete, which is less an admiration for their discipline but more so for their dedication to become this good at whatever they are doing.

In case of the freeriders, it's genuine excitement. I like both: what they are doing and also how they are doing it. Maybe it's just easier to relate to their style of riding. I enjoy the idea of making your surroundings your playground

@daviddobner97: In some ways I prefer watching NWD 4 than this Film
  • 1 0
@Lolo-the-frenchie: Absolutely! The older NWDs are timeless. It started becoming watch & forget once there was too much dirt jumping...

The meta story feels like a missed opportunity. Would have been cool to have the photographer viewing all the “old world” segments then the final segment be him and a bunch of “wheelie kids” in a modern urban euro city shredding the streets (probably would have combined this with the Paris BMX segment). I honestly was convinced that’s where the film was going.

My main takeaway: I want to ride like Vinny T. Good lord, the way his rear wheel flies up out of his corner compressions. So damned powerful and stylish.
  • 8 0
absolutely loved the main "a-roll" of riding—the locations, riding, and cinematography is all world-class. I also enjoyed parts of the b-story about the photographer: the kid's not a bad actor, and the idea was cool.

My feedback is that the connection between the b-story and riding segments was tenuous at best (he was looking into portals showing him the locations he photographed, but interpreted through the lens of amazing riding, I guess?)
I was also immediately taken out of the moment with too many lo-fi Super-16/DV tape shots. I know it's a very stylish thing to do in BMX edits these days, but when your 6K/8K cinematography looks THAT good, why intercut a bunch of low-res, noisy/grainy one-off shots that aren't really showing us anything? Just a pet peeve I've been developing.
  • 8 0
Apart from VinnyTs last couple minutes this was a bust for me. Boring, over edited, adding unnecessary story lines and just didn't get me pumped to go ride my bike. Huge miss.
  • 7 1
I don't know, I feel like it's kind of an end for mountainbike films as we know them. Maybe it's time to turn the page and completely rethink the concept ?

These last years nothing made me more thrilled than the Semenuk/Revel raw edits...
  • 6 0
Wow that was extremely tough to watch, so many quick cuts and bad music choices.
this was a cinematographic showcase, not a bike-riding movie.

The focus was barely ever on the riding, it was always about making the shot look good rather than making the riding look good. Riding was barely on the level of cinematography too, the best riding and most 'novel' riding was Vinny T's part, but the quick cuts and perspective changes mixed in with close-up super slowmos made me seasick watching it.

this is a general problem with MTB Videos/productions, you can tell the producers are to riders themselves. They overproduce it and lose focus on the riding, film some damn lines, have some flow in the video, don't cut to a new angle every 0,5secs just because you can.

I feel bmx and skate movies have this dialled, go watch some class BMX videos for some inspiration on how to execute this perfectly while still keeping the focus on the riding. The best examples being Mutiny's let's get Mystical, Anthem 2 or Stay Fit imo.

Stimme dir zu 100% zu. Der Soundtrack war einfach unglaublich schlecht und auch die Szenen und Kameraperspektiven einfach mies ausgeführt.

Deathgrip bleibt damit immernoch mein absoluter Lieblings Bike Film.
  • 6 0
Good riding but what is increasingly annoying to me are scenes where someone clearly spent days with an excavator in pristine alpine environments just make a few minutes of footage.
  • 5 0
Loved it and I am raised with Kranked and NWD films plus Collective etc. I just enjoyed the movie and the riding, I don't wanna be one of those overthinkers or people who compare it to this or that. Or try to find things to critisize while watching.

I prefer enjoying the movie, appreaciating all the hard work behind it and the great riding. Thankful to watch this for free and if it would be the DVD era, I would have it in my collection (I have a lot movies from that time).

Ride on,
Marc
  • 9 4
Way to much complains in the comments. It's a damn good movie, shot excellent. Does it makes me wanna grab my bike and ride immediately after watching it? Absolutely yes, and that's my definition of good movie. I agree that 'story' between segments was kind of redundant, and not appropriately involved, but screw it. Riding and shooting were next level. I would definitely support the filmmakers, because we need more bike movies and more movies made at this level. But iTunes? No, thanks. Put this on Vimeo and I'll go for it.
  • 8 6
Let’s put the big production money in more capable hands next time?
  • 5 0
It was like watching an advert with a bit of completely unrelatable riding in between the product placement shots. The whole thing seemed to focus on the very fringes of the sport. Big jumps and slippy spinny tricks. I would much further watch some decent enduro / trail riding on natural singletrack that I would love to be able to ride that fast.
  • 3 0
The Chris Akrigg section was just about the best bit on this film. No disputing the quality of the editing, cinematography etc.. but it feels just like yet another bike edit out there. I do think the whole mtb/bike edit scene is so over saturated that its beginning to get all a bit dull.

Maybe I'm just an old fart nowadays but I far more enjoy videos where the riders are genuinely having a good time, be it bikepacking, touring or ridiculously stupid jumps (like the fest stuff). I would put this film amongst the overly produced mtb/bike edits that just have no substance.

Just my two cents.
  • 3 0
agree, Akrigg and the BMX part are the best. The rest of the movie is (not great, not terrible)
  • 3 0
Personally really enjoyed this film! I liked the way the character was used to show how an image can inspire emotion/energy/style and then how these then tied into each riding segment.

It was super cool to see a variety of riding disciplines and styles in one edit and the shots of Vinny and Szymon on fire were so sick too.

All in all I think these guys have done some awesome work in representing these riders in their own way, and with so many bike films and edits out, it’s cool to have differences between them!
  • 3 0
Never heard of Tillman brothers before, have they already done bicycle things? This movie makes me think of professional video maker with a lot of money making a thing with bicycle in it. And just a little thing: during the bmx crash session they use the exact same back injury seen minutes before at la Poma, not a big deal but hey, it's not a commercial, calm down, there is enough blOoD OmG ther craZy in this video...
Well, not my favourite bicycle movie.
  • 4 0
They are fairly compentent bike riders themselves and did some cool edits: videos.mtb-news.de/42949/team_infocus_hafjell_hucking

 @trailrocket: yes they're fast!

It‘s like those Jerry Bruckheimer movies: fantastic production value, but with poor storytelling and the overall appearence of a ong (and cringeworthy) commercial. Very old school - but a lot of people like Transformers movies, so...
  • 6 0
The Vinny T segment is wild. I did find myself fast forwarding through in between riding segments though.
  • 3 0
If it's got riding by some of the best in the biz then I'm in. I really liked the film quality and some of the perspectives, especially the flat land riding, reminds me of ballet, performance art-esque movements. It was so interesting to see a cross over of multiple disciplines and styles, but sometimes felt forced, hiding the true narrative of just riding bikes. Maybe that was the point. When big production Redbull is involved, I feel, sometimes it's missing the rawness we all have gotten used to these days. I digress, a big budget, full length bike film in interesting times. Good job Tillman Bros! Better than watching all the British Pie movies over again...maybe.
  • 3 1
The movie has amazing cinematography, great music choice and amazing riders skills. The production quality is beyond good! If you watch the extras, you can see how much effort and creativity was put into it. Definitely made me watch it a couple of times and made me take my bike and go ride it! Can't wait for more bike stuff from these guys. Also, looking forward to better production from all the haters here.

Miss old NWD movies, this movie is not bad but I do not get the story. Nicko and Szymon part was awesone though

Not a "live stream". Just 24 hours of access to stream the video.

Usually a headline that says "24 hour live stream" means someone is streaming live for 24 hours, so this sounds like it should have been a days worth of the creators chatting about the film, watching segments, maybe a full showing at some point or two, to actually match the headline.

Absolutely like this movie about how some of the most dedicated riders push the limits of the world of biking. The "Old" world could mean many things and the one that has been completed so far by these outstanding riders is one that I can think of. You may not like it, but the black young photographer's eyes tell many stories, and the darkroom is a good place to start exploring the world of imagination. Cheers and respect to the creators of the fantastic film.

also: the whole philisophical approach was so weird, stop telling my simon godziek is thinking about a plan b to dismount when he's hitting 25m fest-series jumps lol. what a bunch of lies

So much negative posts over here... I liked the movie a lot!!! The variety of the locations and riders are incredible, also the filming skills were amazing! Using the mother tongue of each person was a nice idea. The only critical point is the music... But above all seeing how the boys improved their skills and now working with such big companies like BMW or Adidas is amazing!
They don’t deserve so much negativ comments! #schäftlarnerboys

Well, what to say to all the negative, sometimes insulting opinions here ?

My personal impression of the film is this.

The story in relation to the film title was not quite so conclusive to me. Some of the transitions were quite long.
About the realisation you can surely talk if it has to be so exaggeratedly effect-heavy :-)
Now to the actual film itself.
The first section with Martin Söderström was filmed and edited too hectically for me.
Especially the scenes when Martin is filmed from the front, I didn't like the way they were shot. Sometimes Martin was only half watched.
A larger angle of view would have been better here.
For me there was no flow, everything seemed to be quite rough.
The Dirt section was better in the settings.
Section Poland was in my eyes mega sick in a positive sense.
Fat jumps, great settings, nice atmosphere in relation to the light conditions.
Now we come to my favourite section Paris-Berlin .
As a non BMX street rider I have to say this was mega !!!!!
You let the riders have their say, which I would have liked to have seen in the other sections as well, and of course you really put them in the spotlight.
Especially the scenes in Paris were art for me!
We also laughed when we saw the BMW X6 with a BMX on the trailer hitch. :-) somehow it doesn't really fit Wink
But it doesn't matter if you have BMW as a sponsor in your boat, they have to be shown.
The England section started out funny, but then I was a bit too fast with Rachel.
I really would have wished for a little more story.
You don't have to say much to Chris, an animal on two wheels ;-)
Super nice settings.
La Poma and Vincent Tupin were very well done at the end.
La Poma was nice, but what Vincent Tupin did was sick, the speed is insane. :-)
Musically and cinematically there was nothing to complain about. No wonder with the equipment. :-)
Written enough :-)
I thought it was a very successful film and a further improvement on the times of InFocus .
It is not coherent in all areas, but it does not have to be! And everybody who finds in shit can get something else.
There are so horny english trashbikevideos ala Rob Warner :-) Although he is already cult!
Please don't let some stupid comments here lead you astray.
Please continue !!!!

Don't understand what's all the negative vibes about. Watching this at home on a laptop or just a tv without a proper sound didn't do this movie any justice, sadly! I feel like this was meant to be streamed on big screens to have the full experience.
Nowadays internet is just too full of crazy fast, action filled 1 minute long instagram gopro edits and that's what we all got used to as a standard in mountain biking. But this movie definitely brings a next generation of filmmakers and tells us where cinematography will be just in couple of years. Absolutely inhaled all of the stunning landscape/nature/architecture shots - big fan of Europe obvs. so I definitely appreciated that. And the intimacy with the riders you've got in there - not a common thing to be able to do that across such a massive variety of athlethes. Just to be able to get all of these information out of them, hats down guys! Would absolutely watch it again, I hope there will be a big movie screening at some point.

Loved this so much--especially hearing all the riders in their own languages! Epic riding in different styles, with a curious segmentation thrown in.
My 8yr old wants to see it again-- where do I find it?! It's no longer on Red Bull TV.

The quality was unbelievable in every aspect! That’s probably some of the best camera work I’ve ever watched in a mtb film, the editing was spot on and the riding was next level.

I liked it. The BMX street, Vinny T, and Godziek & Vink segments were all bangers imo.

I actually walked away and stopped watching after a bit. It still played in the background... But my attention was definitely elsewhere. Shame it was hyped to be something big... Kinda fell flat. Props for trying though and there was some good sequences.

F*CK THE HATERS. I'm a camera guy and at first I found the in between scenes a bit weird. But then I realised, the title of the movie? the things we are going through right now in the world? I ended up really enjoying all of it. I liked the fact it wasnt about BIG tricks and sends necessarily. I enjoyed the developing scenes as it added to the overall story and took your mind on a journey in between bike action. The use of sounds really played with my mind and emotions and it was a nice break to mix it up instead of non stop bike footage. BIG UP THE FILM CREW, TOP JOB THANK YOU!

Really disappointed with the movie. Sound effects (or the lack of it) and the music compilation could be much better. The whole photography and the athlete voice over thing was just unnecessary. The highlight of the movie was IMO the BMX part and the mind-blowing architecture. The cable cam part in Barcelona could be much more precise and less repetitive. We could all agree that the coloring and the video quality are top notch, but the whole movie is just cold and kind of... boring. Even 50to01 movies are more engaging and they are mostly shot with just a camcorder.

There's a short 80's documentary about this phenomenon of people falling into images. It's called Take On Me. Watch it, get informed, and wake up sheeple! Tbh I'm not a fan of videos where there's some contrived or tenuous narrative to tie all the segments together. This film hasn't changed my opinion of that method of direction. The actual segments, notably the trail riding parts are beautifully filmed and the riding is amazing.

The best BMW TV commercials I've seen so far

Poetry in Motion ! Absolutely stoked about this movie. The quality and look of every single shot is just so well thought out and the best since years. Good to see a effortful and professional produced project like this again in this smartphone & social media times ! More of this please !

loved to watch a different kind of a GREAT mtb-movie!!

i guess all the "haters" compare it with NWD-kinda movies but that´s not working maybe they´ll get it later....

 WTF is going on here?!
How can you haters criticize on that high level and they say "it was a bad movie" ??!
Because YOU didn't like the music or YOU didn't like the scenes in between?
The music was perfect for the scenery and if you don't like the scenes in between, ya than grab your crisps or something else.
These are no arguments to say it's a bad movie. Also in my opinion the scenes in between sometimes felt long but that's nothing what destroys a movie like this. The bike riding was perfect captured and put in perfect scenery, so it is just an amazing film and amazing work of film art.
Don't be so critical guys, enjoy the bike riding and be open for something strange but you can't say it was a bad movie when think about how biking was captures in this movie.

Maybe it was already written somewhere, but couldn't find it. Does anyone know if the single segments of the riders can be found somewhere? I'd love to see Vinny's part again ????
Thanks!

Looks like the makers only watches life cycles, way to overeddited.
One of my favorite action sports moves at the moment, not mtb

I had high hopes for this, but I was a little underwhelmed. Obviously it was well edited and had a lot of creativity, and amazing riding, but I just didn't get amped by it. It's not 'Seasons' that's for sure.

Why is Veronique Sandler not in more features? she should have been automatic for this.

Such a good movie really well produced. Awesome riding in cool locations! Reminds me of “Into the mind” but with bikes it’s that good!!

No complaints here. Stuck inside watching great riders on rainy saturday was appreciated. Thanks to all involved.

Went right to the Akrigg segment, turned off volume, then Moby's Extreme Ways came on. That was a marriage - and it's the exact length!
  • 5 4
All of the mountain bikers in this movie are wearing their helmet for the segment, props for setting an example as professional athletes...shame about the BMXers
  • 1 2
to be fair though the stuff you ride on a mountainbike you're dead if you crash without a helmet, on bmx it's a lot more safe to ride without a helmet (really unfortunate wording lol)
  • 3 2
That felt like it was trying way too hard. Really spoiled the great riding with the direction. Will be looking out for the Tillman brothers to avoid their future work.

What a great film, very diverse, something in there for everyone.

Odd subplot, but it’s easy to skip over stuff.

Not too shabby and free to viewers, what’s not to like?

@Hienabu: They could have made it like Seasons or Where the Trail ends. Those are also Movies which follow a narativ line and have some meaning. I just couldnt unterstand what the Story should be in thw Old World

I ABSOLUTELY ENJOYED WATCHING THE MOVIE !!! ALL YOU HATERS RELAX A LITTLE BIT IN YOUR QUARANTENE BORINGNESS AND BE HAPPY THAT YOU CAN ACTUALLY BE ABLE TO WATCH SUCH A BANGER!!! HIGH VARIETY OF RIDERS AND STYLES---- GREAT MUSIC---- AND ALSO NOT THE TYPICAL BIKEMOVIE CHARACTER, SEEN ALREADY THOUSANDS OF TIMES. BUT YEAH IT IS MUCH EASIER TO COMPLAIN AND COMPLAIN AND COMPLAIN...AND .... URGENT POSITIVE VIBES NEEDED. CHEERS
