Yep 05/06 they made the Loam 36's. I bought a second hand set a while ago, and since the browny coulor suited my bike like peas and carrots, I looked into upgrading the tired internals. It has now got '10 talas cartridge, works brilliantly and I kept the coulor Pimp

I am looking at buying one but i cant look at it before hand and am nervous about the dropout cracks as well as the talas creeping down. MTBR made it sound like every fork but I am wondering if the issues are overblown

Well my forks did have creep, they were sitting at 140mm but the new internals boosted it up to a lovely 160.

And my fork has been around, (few other owners) and they have not cracked yet. Just be careful and you'll be right. Dont tighten them up more and a quarter of a turn from finger tight, easy.
