front end is getting torn apart so i can finally start working on it. it turns over again after replacing the positive battery cable but its not starting still. might be water in the tank, but i hope not
Best of luck with the project! I just picked up a Sonoma in the summer and had to do all of the body work on it. What a pain in the @$$! Just take your time and do it right, no short cuts. It'll be worth it when you're done though!
looks like a good start im going to reccomend something that im sure noone else has suggested why not put a 4.3 v6 in it ? also personnaly i would lower it 2 or 3 inches and put some cragger ss wheels on it with 31/10.5 m/t drag radials out back and some tires up front then take it to the track and burn them off
just go find an old farm truck with one, you can find them for like 100 bucks. and its stupidly simple to do a v8 swap in those
And that's why there's a tonne of half done/half assed v8 swapped s10s for sale. People think that its a simple swap because you can buy the premade mounts but when you want to do it properly, you essentially are rebuilding the truck.
Well if you are even a bit mechanically inclined, you can do it within a few days properly. 350's suck on gas and are a bit pointless for something you will drive all the time though. 4.3 is a great engine, and they are just about as common to find in junkyards as the 350's.
Great choice of engine, my friend has an 89' s-15 with the 4.3 and he roasts tire into the beggining of 3rd with just a shift kit.
