The quality control and performance has gone down since then....
That has nothing to do with them being mnufactured in Taiwan. Besides have you ridden both rc2x and rc3x? If so how do they feel in comparison to each other? Up until now I haven't faced one single problem with my fork.
and thats why your POD is a picture of a boxxer and your bike has totems???
thats why my bike has been in the bike shop for 3 months and ive got maybe a week of riding on it and the totem's internals are messed (for the 2nd time) and the bike shop has kindly lended me one of their rentals with 888s to ride until mine is fixed.

ever ridden a fox 40 on a few trails before?
no im just saying as far as 888s go id take them over my totem any day(unless my totem actually worked)
You have two pics in your profile, a guy dropping at the park in K-Dub. He's riding a Chumba F5. I saw the bike at the lbs and thought it was your bike. Then read the comments and you just took the pics.

the new boxxer is better than any other mtb fork out there! fox is just a posers fork and there is nothing worth saying about the 888
what r u saying????? boxxer is a poor mans fork. fox 40 r like the beast fork that everyone else wants to be.
Pretty sure the Boxxer is not a poor mans fork.......I am pretty sure its around the same price as a fox yet the Boxxer has more complicated internals than the fox. Overall you are paying a lot for a simple design in the Fox. I would rather have the Boxxer.
