What size Rear Disc Rotor should i get for my charge iron im looking at getting Avid Juicy 7 Breaks
and
What Difference would a 203 mm make over a 160 mm ?
Thanks
ok most people will say that a 203mm rotor have outright power, and to a certain degree this is true but i found that they have more usable torque aswell.
i dont understand how people lock up so much. i have a code on a 203 mm rotor with a floating break, and i rarley lock up. i one finger break. just modulate the break untill your on the verge of locking, and just let it go a bit.
A 203 rotor on a Charge is a mega overkill! You need something like 180. Avid BB7's are great! Good stopping power, very adjustable and cheap compared to a hydraulic disk. Plus when it comes to servicing you just have to pay a fiver for a new cable compared to paying to get your brake bled.
i try but its just too powerful its either on or off
one finger or two.???
one
rotor size does not give you more stopping power, you get a bigger rotor if you brake more because they cool down faster. sam hill rides 165mm rear rotor, he also doesnt ride it all day or use the brakes that much.

eh you never heard of leverage ratios,if not i suggest you look it up.
