I don't know where Chain Reaction is getting its numbers from but a 26x 2.5 Hookworm is not 535g. According to Maxxis, the 16 x 1.95 Hookworm is 535g, the tire you have listed is is 1250g.

I ride a decently heavy bike myself and I will say that the Hookworm is a terrible tire simply because of its weight. As soon as I switched to a K-Rad the bike felt a lot better, it rolled quicker, the front was easer to control. I would definitely go with something lighter.
