What the hell, I didn't pay $400 for a console that eats $60 games. This is the second time this has happened; the first time this happened I was able to fix my COD4 cd with a disc doctor. But now it just full out raped my GTA disc. WTF? It's laying horizontally, anyone else have this problem?

Just got off the phone with microsoft support....couldn't really understand him. Called Rockstar about my GTA disc and they said they'll replace it for $7.50 (cover shipping costs).

When did you buy this 360? If it has done this even once you should still have it fixed, for free from warranty.

Got it in November, I'm not sure if he mentioned that since his accent was horrible (some guy in india).

Call back you'll get a different person, your still under warranty and they should fix it or replace it for you. You'll have to go without a 360 for a couple weeks though..

My friend's Guitar Hero 3 disc did the same thing, without even tipping the xbox on its side or anything. It sucked.

a guy i know got one and laid it horizontally and within 2 hours it caught fire
i stad mine up on a solid surface

i left mine on on a carpet for a week by accident, my carpet got a little crispy thats all Big Grin

That's bullshit. I've had my 360 since January of 07 and have had no problems with it at all. It's always been laying horizontally, and always on my carpet.

PS, my xbox have never lit on fire, and ive had it laying horizontally for 2 years.

hey the problem is that u r moving ur 360 while it is on NEVER EVER do that cuz the disc hits sumthin and it scratches it but most of the scratchs are fixable
