Last summer I bought a Norco 125 about 26 pounds then I replaced the frame with an old transition top frame which made it 30 pounds (the frame was 10 pounds) and soon after I bought a halo SAS rear wheel for 200 and now my single speed hardtail is 34 pounds and is back heavy making street impossible
My GT Freeride rig is 33.5 lbs. Look at the bright side. Heavy bikes make you stronger. I could pay another 2000 bucks for a bike thats 3 lbs lighter, or I could just take a big crap before I ride and keep the money.
correction. took it by the shop scale. drum roll. OUCH. 37.3 lbs.
