Hi I’ve got an S3 Evo Comp (Carbon) and looking to upgrade the handlebar and stem from the stock Specialized alloy bar. Not sure if getting the Specialised DH Carbon is worth it against say 35mm Deity or OneUp carbon setups. In the Australian releases, the SWorks models have the 35m Roval carbon bar and deity 35mm stem.
The reason I’m asking this is to see if anyone has any experience playing around with stem lengths, risers, sweeps etc. I’m not very technical but conscious not to muck around with the original factory design setup. I like the damper feel of carbon and hoping a small weight loss is possible.
The only 35mm bar I run is the OneUp, it is awesome. Very comfortable. Other 35mm carbon bars such as Renthal were way too stiff and rough on the hands.
I have an S3 SJ EVO with a WeAreOne bar/stem on it in 45mm length stem and 35mm rise bar cut to 780mm. It works well for me, I wouldn't go any longer on the stem.
