What happens to a coil fork with small amount of oil?

So i accidentally pushed sown the rebouns adjuster on my manitou circus sport and most oil came out, so a question, what happens to a fork that doesnt have recommended amount of fuel init?

Ive got no experience with coilforks or anything. But as a mechanical engineer id point out that oil is there for a reason. If you havent got any oil at all the thing is going to break quickly. not enough oil usually means it wont immediately break down but its expected life will decrease significantly.

So in short. do add some oil to the fork

Ok thanks, what oil do I need to put in it? Its hard to findanything for the sport model.
