Hi, I'm currently evaluating the Spartan 2019. After some comparison and numerous test-rides on a 29-er GX (not LTD) and on a 27.5 2018-model in X01, I'm asking myself if that difference between the GX and GX-LTD in fork setup has an impact on tight-corner agility. The GX has a Lyrik charger2 RC fork with a 51mm offset and the GX LTD has a the RC2 model fork with a 42mm offset. The GX I rode is quite OK in tight, steep corner, but the fork itself is rubbish. On the 27.5-er X01 model I tested a lyrik RCT3 which is a great suspension. Has anyone compared the two different offsets directly? According to mny understanding of bike-geometry to shorter offset should make the bike more stable at speed but less agile. Btw, I currently ride a 2015 spartan 27.5 custom build. And if nothing really changes my mind the next days/weeks I will go for the 29-er, but also custom build, because there are too many spec details that are no-gos for me. but still the frame is great. cheers
Thanks for your answer. BAD Nr. is the 4 digit product code from the shock. Are you sure about the shock lenght ? Oem shock lenght for the Spartan 29 according to the web site is 205 / 65

Let me take a look I'll come back to you. And yeah it's 205/65 my bad
Anyone of you encountered chain jumping while pedaling back in 1st gear (large wheel on rearside) after a few turns? Tried several setups GX and X01 both show the same behaviour. It's no derailleur setting issue. It shifts perfect. Seems like chain line isn't OK.
Now just wondering what chainring offset you installed on your spartan. mine is 3mm offset. Seems like 6 or 7 mm offset would result in a far better chainline. meaning bringing the chainring nearer to the frame. The 3mm offset chainring was shipped as default.
