I have looking around various different places for some lights and it seems a lot of people have mixed opinions of which some are saying that the more expensive lights are better and last longer, but at the time I have read some very positive reviews of people saying that the cheaper lights are still just as good.

I am looking to spend around ideally £50 for a decent set of lights.
Any advice or recommendations are much appreciated!

Thanks.

I've been doing some research on the MTBR light forum and these guys are very well reviewed. They also happen to be local to you.

I have just recently bought an old ledite unit from ebay to which i have been very happy.
Unfortunately the battery pack in a webbed pouch got wet one rainy night and then subsiquently failed.
Whilst looking for a replacement battery pack i have found and am looking to purchase a magicshine light, very re aspnably priced and goot battery pack protection.

Two ideas.

Look on http://www.dx.com/c/sports-outdoors-1699/cycling-1607/bike-light-1644?utm_source=dx&utm_medium=1699top&utm_campaign=20161202bikelight and you will find some great stuff. Some of it high quality, some junk. Hard to tell until it arrives

Or “bright eyes” on Amazon. Wicked bright for $30

Cree Solarstorm

I just bought some of these after doing a little research... they are bright and last about 90 - 120mins on full power. Don't expect a prime product, but they more than suffice for the cost. My only real gripe is that the separate battery pack comes with velcro and isn't the most secure on the bike, but for less than £25 you can't grumble!

Try Torchy…. http://www.torchythebatteryboy.com/p/bike-light-database.html

He has the above bike light comparison site plus a shop on Ebay here http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Torchy/Bike-lights-/_i.html?_fsub=1104245319&_sid=32008479&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322

I have his BK Thr33 and BK 7even lights, both purchased for under £50.

Another vote for torchy, I've just ordered the BK7. All the other UK companies take the piss with their prices

Another option if you have time (to wait for delivery from China) is to buy one of Torchy's battery packs and splitter, then buy the light units only from China
