Posting this hear to get some more attention to it. There are plans to build on the COP eastlands (the parkland just to the east of COP) This would wipe out a lot of land that people use for biking/hiking/runing/etc. The bike trails, singletrack and jumps are one of the only really good spots to ride this type of thing in Calgary.
I would hate to see another "mall" take over when so many retail spaces are now vacant in the city.
