How to make my parents let me bring my bike on vacation

Ok so im going to LA then fiji this x mas break and it is gonna be a long bikeless trip. I am trying to convince them to let me bring it in a bag that i have, Can anyone help me on giving my parents good points so that they can be convinced. PLease!!!!

First, take off front wheel and lower seat (if its not already slammed like almost everyone already does nowadays) so it doesnt take up a lot of space when you hide it during the packing but they will see it and maybe think its cute you tried to sneak it along and just say, hey i will stay out of your hair and wont get lost, honest.

can`t be even close to reasonable...

maybe thats the reason?
or family just wants family bonding time,plenty of time after vacation to ignore them and ride the rest of the year.

if you tell the air company that your bike is golf clubs and put it in a golf bag it will be cheaper, Chris Doyle said so
