Personally I've never had a problem with renthal stuff. Not sure what bad experiences you've had dchill? Aside from their weight, the fatbars have been faultless, so a carbon version of that can only be a good thing. Especially if the weight is as low as they imply.

I really like my fatbar lite. Just the right amount of flex that aids in dampening.

Nice, at long last there will be a decent high rise carbon bar on the market.

O+

You should probably wait before it's released before assuming it's decent. I'm interested to see the weight and strength spec they hit as carbon bars is a tricky business compared to aluminum.

Got a reply from renthal.
The carbon bar is going to be a carbon version of the current fatbar lite. So 740mm and same rise options. Not willing to disclose weights yet, but they said it should be market leading..

Seems like they're kinda cheating when calling it "market leading" when it's only 740mm wide. If it really is that light, I'd expect nothing more than 160grams since the Next bar is 180g at 760mm width.

Super cheap carbon rims 35 od 29 id. Same as my blunt 35s and the derby 29 rims. They come in both 650b and 29.

Yeah, I'm assuming they mean width is considered when they say the weight is good. The fatbar lites are 270grams for the 740 width, not bad but not amazing. They are absolutely solid though. I'm sure they could pull out a 180g bar

LOL the industry is going to have to find a new material instead of CF if this is even half legit.

I'm not going to guinea pig this. If it comes from china, I don't really want it.

This. Big difference. I'm buying American for my next bike though.
