Hi guys, ive been following pinkbike for the past 5 years or so but have only recently joined. I am an above knee right leg amputee, who is well into my downhill and freeride on my hardtail. I was wondering if any of you guys knew of any other disabled riders, pro or not, and if anyone has any footage, photos etc of them?

My only real adaptions are a spd on my Right leg, and sus seatpost as i cant stand to pedal..just wondered what others use?
Many thanks for your help and community spirit.

I once read an article in ridebmx uk magazine about a rider with an artificial leg after having an amputation. He was inspired by a disabled skateboarder and seemed to be quite a good rider. Amazingly he rode with flat pedals. I cant remember the magazine issue sorry but it was a few months back.Smile

There is this guy named Brent Wolf who has done the 24hrs of Adrenaline solo in Canmore, with one leg. He doesn't use a prosthetic during the race either!
He is both an inspiration and a motivator.
Also my former Neighbor rode casually with a hook where is left arm used to be.

im pretty sure i saw video somewhere where this guy had this really high tech leg fitted, and ripped like he just had natural legs, he could stand and sit down no problem and had a fox shock in his fake leg, it was pretty cool

If you can find it that would be great, ive a shock in my leg also which takes some of the hits out..but good to see what others are using!

Not quite what your looking for but I figured I'd add the pics as I found this guy pretty inspirational. I got these pics from Whistlers web site, and there was a video of him(I can't recall his name) riding A-Line HARD. Not sure if the vid will be there any more.
