I started making bar extensions that you can use on numerous bars. They have an expansion nut which grips the inside diameter of the bar and pulls the bar end in snug.
All you have to do to remove them is unscrew the bolt and pull it out.

The bar ends are made from nylon which is a strong, light weight, wear resistant material. The expansion nuts are made from aluminum. I would like to locate TI bolts to keep the weight to an absolute minimum.

Each bar end weighs 18grams.

The holes pictured in them are used for installation. You may need to put an allen key or something into the hole to stop it from spinning while snugging up the bolt.
The pair pictured are .700" long, so they will increase bar length by almost an inch and a half.
