I finished building this frame up in mid September 2022. It is an extremely capable descender, and climbs better than most bikes in this category. Slightly conservative geometry makes this bike a delight to handle, and it loves getting in the air. Weighs sub 35lbs as built.

New derailleur, chain, cassette, bottom bracket, cockpit, grips, and tires. Wheels were ridden from September 2022 until march 2023 when I built up a new mullet set that I will be holding onto for the next bike. Nothing wrong with the original wheels, and only saw a winter of light riding.

I just completely tore down the bike to service the bearings and headset. New cable and housing. I just rebuilt the rear shock, fork recently had a full service and I just gave it a lowers service, more to replace the lighter winter bath oil with the stock oil than anything. I am a factory suspension service technician currently working in the industry, and have several years of bike shop experience prior to that so you can trust all maintenance was done correctly. I have been running a different shock on this bike since August, so the Superdeluxe I am selling it with has seen light use. I tuned this superdeluxe to this frame, which is a nice touch you are unlikely to see on any other altitudes with Rockshox suspension.

This is a great bike with a killer build kit that you can’t buy stock. I thoughtfully put this bike together with components that would pair well with the attributes of the frame, and I’m really happy with how it turned out. Components are as follows:

Frame:
Rocky Mountain Altitude Carbon 29

Cockpit:
Rocky Mountain bar, Raceface stem, DMR death grips (all new)

Wheels:
Raceface AR rims on Trace Hubs (Altitude C70 stock wheels) with only ~5 months of riding

Tires:
Kenda Hellcat Pro 29x2.5 (one ride on them)

Brakes:
New SRAM Mavens, amazing power, 200mm centerline rotors. I found those worked really well with this bike and the new brakes.

Drivetrain:
Shimano XT

Fork:
Rockshox Zeb Ultimate A2 180mm (new charger 3 damper and buttercups) recently fully rebuilt, and I just did a lowers service

Shock:
Rockshox Superdeluxe Ultimate B1 (new rt3 damper with adjustable hydraulic bottom out) only ridden for about half the age of the bike, just fully rebuilt

Dropper:
Oneup v2 dropper, 240mm (shimmed down to 230, possible to shim it down further)


The bike is in great shape. I just put a bunch of money into it and fully overhauled it, and it rides like it’s brand new. I have plans to do some endurance races this summer so I’m selling it for something shorter travel!
