2017 Hightower LT custom XL 29

Can't decide between the ripping fast original Santa Cruz Hightower or the more versatile LT? Want something different? Here is the solution. Long-shocked Hightower gets 150mm travel or use the included stock shock for 135mm. How does this work? No modification. The 57mm stroke DHX2 shock fits only on size XL frames in the 'high' geometry setting. No tire rub, period. To offset the taller geometry, this bike is equipped with a 160mm Fox 36, which gives a 66 degree head angle. Fork can be reduced in travel if so desired. Don't ask how the two shocks compare, I never rode the bike in stock form so the stock Monarch shock is brand new. The Fox coil shock is incredibly supple and has infinite adjustment capability. Currently tuned for 200 lb rider. Subtract $300 if you don't want the coil shock.

This CC (higher end SantaCruz carbon frame) has a black-out decal kit over the blue lettering. Easy to remove if you prefer the blue. Black/orange theme looks badass and gets tons of compliments. This is a very unique looking and fast bike.

Bike has a BRAND NEW 12-speed drivetrain and brakes, and a fresh rebuild on the frame and fork. New bearings throughout. Fresh fork oil. Smooth as butter. This bike has been meticulously cared for by a 20yr mechanic. Frame has only cosmetic scuffs at the chainstay yoke which is normal from debris off rear tire. Wheels are pro-built with spoke-prep, not like mass produced machine built wheels that fall apart after a month.

Includes stock rear shock, spare derailleur hanger, owners manuals for fork and both rear shocks, original frame receipt. For sale locally or will ship at buyers additional expense. Parking lot test rides ok, no trail test rides due to parts being brand new. Reason for selling is I am consolidating my fleet, selling this and dh bike for new Nomad.
