Tubes or Tubeless?

I need to try tubeless. I've blow up way too many tubes. Blew two up couple of weekends ago within 10 mins of each other. I'm a heavy guy and have to run high psi. Spent close to $100 on one section of trail. I roll really slow through there now.

what kind of tires do you run? try runing a hevier and stronger casing, maybe that's the problem.
but if what you wan't it's tubeless it's alright for all bike, i run it on my dh and my enduro bike with no problems, as long as you are not runing 1 ply tires

Or go tubeless and drop weight on your bike! And replace the fluid once every 2-3 mounths

 Fact. Tubeless is heavier

@Taran "fact" is sealant weighs less than tubes, so not sure what experience you've had. Sure "Tubeless" tires are heavier, but most people don't bother with those honkin' things. Any brand with a decent bead (specialized, schwalbe, WTB) have pretty much regular casings and beads that hold air better, and they don't come with a weight penalty.

If you go tubeless and still run 40psi then you're missing the point. Try some decent tires tubeless on not-skinny rims and you'll be able to run your tires a lot softer without the squirm. You'll have better traction, more cush if you ride hardtails, and almost no pinch flats. I have had one flat in like 3 years or more, and it was from a piece of glass that cut to big a whole for the stans. All of this is a big win, and with most bikes coming out now you don't have to really buy any new parts. For DH, I see it being less of a benefit as you are running higher pressures on burly as tires, so won't feel the benefits as much. For anything less than serious gravity stuff there is no good arguement for using tubes, unless you change your tires weekly.

i hope nobody runs 40 psi

curious why the majority of riders here are riding with tubes? honestly why?

Are these the same stubborn 26 for life people #tubes4lyfe? or what is the deal?

tubeless is great. Easy to set up. low pressures. No pinch flats. Why not?

Tubeless is the way to go. It may not save a whole lot of weight. With better rims and better tire seating systems is is definitely a lot better than what it use to be. I just did a 3 day trip in the Pisgah trail system running about 25 psi both tires without a single burp or flat. If you haven't tried tubeless, don't knock it till you rock it.

Tubeless for some, miniature American flags for others...

I recently tried tubeless. I honestly don't understand what all the fuss is about.
