It s just ticked over 100 days of no rain in Perth so cornering at mach chicken turns out a bit like a Michael Bay movie. Shooting wide open at f 1.4 was a bit of a gamble but it paid off

 matt hunter double trouble
  • 22 1
not to mention the #1 shot got more views in how many days? compared to pictures that were up for a couple weeks more. That picture is beyond absurd.
  • 16 2
 Still not enough Matt Hunter.
  • 5 0
Does hunter only ride trail bikes now? That being said he makes everything look so good.
  • 6 0
Specialized probably has him doing more publicity for their trail bikes. I still think hes boss on long travel, especially ever since his spot in Follow Me.
  • 2 1
maybe it would be harder to pull that off on a downhill bike, i prefer drifting my dj over my dh. also because i am small, 2x susp is good for rough terrain and big jumps but for overall riding i think... ot hunter wins. its almost like that doerfling cliff sender wtf UNREAL
  • 2 0
You're probably right about the promotion thing. I just like watching that guy on a DH bike.
  • 1 1
IDK guys, specialized is running their trail bikes as DH bikes at both world cups so far this year, kind of leaves the demo in the shadows for the moment

flag freeride-forever (May 3, 2014 at 22:43) (Below Threshold)
I ain't no Hunter fan, but that 1st pic is top drawer. Specialized sucks donkey dong. Demos suck donkey dook.
  • 2 0
I don't know why spec sucks but I did get a chuckle out of the donkey dong comment.
  • 1 0
speialized made some of the sickest looking and performing dh bikes ever. but many brands used to do that scott ][yz ltd , nowadays things arent made with that style it used too be. things change altough sum bikesmaybe the newer brands look very nice like the gamer 24, if specialized would suck riders like hunter and barclaw woudnt be the top of the line freeriders.
  • 1 2
Spec' sucks mostly because they're a bully. Demos are shit because they're needlessly & ridiculously complex. Like stupid on the level of something like a Knolly. I used to love Specialized, my FSR was great, Big Hits were great. They've lost me forever now. Hunter is not "top of the line". I don't even know why he's still sponsored. Probably just 'cuz he's a nice guy no doubt, but he's never won anything except the UFC AFAIK & he only won that because he was from BC & it was always someone from BC who had the most friends that knew about the contest. C-Mac was robbed by Hunter on that one. Claw is f*ckin' beast but he's on his way out. Riders ride for the companies that give the best deals, & if there were a correlation between the best riders & the best bikes then Specialized would be far from the top & anyone could plainly see that Trek would be on the throne, who "coincidentally" also sponsors Cameron McCaul. I do actually like what Trek has been doing in recent years with their bikes, but that has nothing to do with Rheeder, Semenuk & C-Mac. Trek also sponsored Lance Armstrong so, there you go.

Also, this seems like as good a spot as any to say that, IK you gotta pay the bills PB, but I ain't diggin' the Spec' adverts I'm seein' around here. JR150 did something about it & so should you.
  • 1 0
So you don't like adverts for a certain brand based off you personally not liking certin models of bikes? Calm done my man. It'll all be alright.
  • 1 0
if you look to the movies the old freeride movies, then you should now hunter is a bike ripper. btw this photo proves this again. he maybe aint a trick beast because but he probably even doesnt care, trying to learn tricks can be time stealing and really hard for the mind, some people just like to ride. and like to be free. i dont get how you can not call him top of the line freerider. remeber that wallride remeber how sick it looked? yea if you look to these slopestylers hunter will be lame on their courses. but i bet he can drift way harder then most of them. you cant be it all freeride is it all dont forget that mate

Its more amazing to me that the trees in photo 1 are growing sideways out of the cliff!? They really should rotate that picture 90 degrees so we can see it better.
  • 5 0
Haha someone's already done that they posted it on the original photo: imageshack.com/a/img836/7093/47aa.jpg

Check this link its the pic of Matt Hunter, but if you scroll down one more picture you will get a better idea how he made the berm. Not that what he did would be easy but, make sense to the possibility. www.iamspecialized.com/members/matthunter30

So it looks to me like #4 got less views than #5. Is that true or am I just number-reading impaired?
  • 1 0
If I'm not mistaking they also look at how many views the photo got in the time that it was posted. So #4 could have been posted later in the month, but in less time got almost the same amount of views as #5 but I may be totally wrong!
  • 4 0
I've seen number 2 a lot but still really sick
  • 22 1
Dude it's kinda weird you see people taking shits a lot but yeah it is sickening
  • 3 0
Its a shame #1 and #3 are both in the same month, both sick photo's

#3 is an excellent shot. The best in my opinion, for all that it is worth.
  • 3 1
#3 all the way, just explosive!

#1 .........but did he make it out clean?
  • 1 0
yea, im willing to bet 5 bucks he fell after the shot was taken
  • 4 0
 #3 is the best!
  • 3 1
#3 makes me want to ride the most but #1 is close and is a WAY more tech shot from a photography perspective so #1 wins IMHO

 ELBOW.
  • 2 2
Are you telling me that no-one on PB thinks these are photo-shopped (maybe with the exception of #5) … certainly the first and third ones … where is the white smoke coming from in both of these shots ??????
  • 1 0
By smoke do you mean the dust from their tires? In the first shot there is a fill light that illuminates the rear of the rider to set him apart from the background, this flash is also illuminating the dust behind him.
