Mulally also beat: Loic Bruni, Aaron Gwin, Steve Peat, Danny Hart, Sam Hill and Greg Minnar, who all pedaled during their race runs. What a bunch of "right twats".
You are very observant aren't you ? Of course the rest of them pedaled but none of them do this stupid pedaling in the air/rockgardens/every where in way to low a gear , I love blenkis riding style but his useless pedaling in the air is pointless and looks awful
I'm quite observant, i noticed he probably isn't in too low a gear he just spins it up as there is no resistance to pedalling, I also noticed if you accelerate the wheel to faster than the bike is traveling it will give a small gain on landing. Science. The main thing I noticed was how your original comment had absolutely no relevance to anything really and was just making noise for no reason.
pedaling in the air (spinning the rear tire faster) also brings the rear end down. Exactly like using the throttle on a moto. While it may not work as well, he could just be trying to get the rear wheel to the ground sooner. Although scrubbing probably works better on a mtn bike.
bigburd you should send Blenki in a clip of you shredding and show him what hes doing wrong... Maybe all your skills, techniques, and opinions are the missing piece for his world cup glory...
And does his pedaling in the air look kinda cool, like you said in you first comment, or awful like your second comment?
Your right that's definitely him you know by how he holds his elbows when pedalling!
And by my guess from Bren-dogs recent social media posting that his new teammate is Danny hart due to his height in the picture, Danny's quite short isn't he?
Everybody here can criticize the way he rides but none of you are the WC circuit... and did you ever think maybe that's his way of being aggressive and keeping focus on just pinning it? nope
Blenki has the most style of all the world cup riders in my opinion.
@bigburd: Stevie Smith is also pedalling in the air and he was World Champion, so it has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of the rider or anything like that... It's probably just style and what cthrope said sounds also logic to me.
hopefully Blenki does well on a new bike. Probably the most stylish rider on the circuit but maybe he needs to pedal less. Ratboy doesn't pedal that much and Neko proved you don't need to.
It's bizarre watching Ratboy, he looks like he is just cruising and not going fast. It would be cool to have a chainless WC, be interesting to see who carries their speed best.
Blenki, Ragot, and I sure hope they kept Bryn and Jill! Go canada. So happy to see a Canadian brand, along with devinci on top or climbing to the top of the world. Go canada.
@yakimonti I wouldn't keep your hopes up... @mattsavage Bryn and Jill do own and operate their team but Norco is also the title sponsor and covers most of the operation costs....
Bryn and Jill own Norco International. They are associated with Norco as their frame supplier and give input on frame development. I believe they choose the additional riders on Norco International.
It's a brand new Facebook page and title to Norco International, there weren't any girls on that from what I could see, I believe it's a new team and Jill and Bryn have gone elsewhere.
@mtb-mech they definitely did not have any say whatsoever this new roster, as a matter of fact don't even associate Bryn and Jill's team with this one... its an entirely reformatted team owned by norco internally with entirely new riders and new people in positions of power...
I don't think the woman is Emmeline. On the video the woman riding has left foot in front. Emmeline is has right foot in front. And I've never seen her wearing a neck-brace.
I think it's Emilie Siegenthaler. (Not 100% sure though).
And if the pedaling in the air does give you a boost why doesn't the rest of the field do it ? because it only works in your imagination ...
And does his pedaling in the air look kinda cool, like you said in you first comment, or awful like your second comment?

And yeah Ratboy barely pedals at all , infact he looks so relaxed it's hard to tell he's racing until you see the splits !
Doesn't look like there's a girl in there to me.
she is very cute also hahaha
I think it's Emilie Siegenthaler. (Not 100% sure though).
