 Do they use a really good microphone to pick up the sound when they are shooting, or is it done like foley artists do in the movies? Either way it worked well and sounded great.

 It's not the sound of the bike alone, I like the sound of the bike in the forest. If that trail was paved that clip would not have sounded as good. Awesome video!

 vitalmtb's raw series of the world cup races are the best. not sure if the raw trend was started by that but they've been doing it for a while and every time its amazing. this edit didn't disappoint either, some big senders in there. i hope people keep making em.

 The workflow is pretty bare bones... I shot in a much more defined image profile instead of SLog like normal... no grading... nothing but laying the clips on a timeline and getting the sound dialed...

 Nice work Jasper. Definitely improving all around - your editing is getting 'flowy-er" with each new release. I liked the part around 1:33 where its all quiet and then he emerges from the trees. Keep it up man, love seeing the new cuts. Is this up in Galbraith area?

 i wouldn't say that that trail was completely flow but instead a good mix of flow and natural

 This isn't a flow trail. Luke uses his riding skill to make the trail flow which is how it should be. I think if most of us tried to ride this track and filmed it wouldn't look very flowing.  Well that link doesn't show what we call a flow trail in oregon. That just looks awful...

 To clarify: When I think "Flow Trail" I think of a trail that is wider than singletrack and, while groomed with few to no rocks/roots, is NOT designed to be easy. I picture a trail designed to be fast and fun with rollers, berms, doubles, and some bigger features. Almost like a blend of a jump line, pump track, and DH singletrack. A good flow trail should be more rewarding the faster you ride it. I prefer singletrack and technical features, but a good flow trail once in a while can be a lot of fun. I would never take a beginner on most of them. Also, I don't advocate for "sterilizing" existing trails.

 I never saw that comment before I replied, the kind of trail you describe is a good kind of track but I think the article referred more to flow trails like the one I posted a link to maybe not quite as extreme but going that way, which is bad for the sport I think.

 That flow trail is actually at the Eagle Bike park and is built by gravity logic that builds whistlers trails, but i agree that the picture doesnt represent a flow trail very well. If you wanna see oregon flow trails check out black rock!
