+1 Suicidedownhiller - I just dont get it? I mean, I like metal and fire and bikes and stuff but why the hell do you have to make a gay ass theme around your biking vids? Who exactly does this appeal to besides kids going through strange phases?
haha hes not doing to try and be "cool" its just funny and entertaining, shakes things up a bit from the normal downhill video recipe. Im 19 and my dads 40 and we had a good lol hahaha. Just enjoy it!
i was up mt seymour when i saw some people filming a zombie on a bike. i crashed way too many times because i couldnt stop thinking about the f*cking zombie! then like 4 hours later i was biking to work and i saw the same zombie standing on the sidewalk. thank god i saw this video or else i would still be having nightmares of that day
Here, I'm a massive Slayer fan and totally into that side of the music industry, but why you have to then take that stage performance idea and base your biking video's and way you present yourself around it completely defeats me? Hell, even Tommy Araya is a total family idealist nice guy when he's not on stage (and a devout yet down-to-earth Christian I might add). I have no issue with gore etc, it doesnt bother me in the slightest, I just think its the completely wrong image for biking and just looks like some kid trying to be 'cool' to both the biking community and outside world. I dont like conventions and steriotypes either, but trying to get away from that by making yourself out to be a complete psychopath in your video's just doesnt work...
I AGREE WITH EVERYONE HERE!! MOUNTAIN BIKING IS VERY VERY SERIOUS BUSINESS AND SHOULD BE TREATED AS SUCH. THIS ONE TIME I WAS OUT BIKING AND THEN ALMOST HAD FUN, BUT THEN I REMEMBERED THAT THERES NO ROOM FOR FUN IN A SERIOUS GAME LIKE MTB. FROM NOW ON LETS PLEASE LIMIT OUR SONG SELECTION TO CONTEMPORARY CHRISTIAN ROCK AND ANNE MURRAY ONLY PLEASE. REMEMBER, MOUNTAIN BIKING IS A GENTLEMAN'S SPORT IN THE LEAGUES OF GOLF AND BACKGAMMON, LET'S KEEP IT SACRED!!!
Did you think that maybe when Kenny Smith isn't riding his bike and making movies that are going to grab people's attention that he might be a nice guy and not into trying to be a zombie? Your comment is pretty ignorant if you ask me. Maybe he just wanted to do a few movies to go with his new sponsor EVIL and use a theme for it. I bet that they like the movie and don't think its a wrong image for biking or their company. He also really looks like he is trying to portray himself as a psycho in those shots where he is laughing and having fun with it... At least you clarified first that you are a "massive slayer fan", that made all your other points seem so much more genuine and accurate.
Tbh I have a slight confession to make - I started mouthing off before I'd actually watched the video... I just saw the 'Warnings', the picture of Kenny as a corpse and Suicidedownhiller's comment and assumed it was as over-the-top and rediculous as the last Kenny Smith write-up. Having just watched the video now I see I was wrong and I would have said the same things if I were in your position. The video is actually alright and I totally see where your coming from with the 'Evil' bikes idea.
We were in the chairlift right above when they filmed the gap jump at 02:20, it was sick. Got ripping berm shot of him a few days before too, hes a seriously good rider.
panzer103, I will have to disagree with you on that! Christ Illusion would be the last good album. Give it a listen! It's the best of both Reign In Blood and Seasons In The Abyss all on one album...
xXZULTXx that video was gay? Kenny Smith shredding DH kicks the living shit out of any bullshit (read: gay) dirt jump video I've seen in recent memory.
Sick ass video, woulda been even sicker with Blood, Fire, Death by Bathory. hahaha and i had a dream once zombies were takin over my town so i hopped on my bike and took the single track the fuck outa there all decked out like kids from red dawn hahahahhah.

The video is actually alright and I totally see where your coming from with the 'Evil' bikes idea.
